    08 22VE Surf Weighting

I am demo'ing a 08 22 VE for a customer tomorrow and wanted to get input on weighting, speed, TAPS setting etc for surfing. Boat has no built in ballast. We have 950 lb. Enzo style bags at work I can use to try and set it up. Any input is appreciated!

With that hull, im partial to most to all of the weight in the back. Speed 10.5 to 11.5 TAPS 3-4. Bow wight is good when you have at least 1K in the back on the surf isde.

Speed 9.4-9.6 Taps 4 Will need a lot more weight than that or 2-3ppl in rear surf side and a couple ppl up front would help. If they are to get the boat and want to set it up properly have them buy the rear z3 bags or custom rear sacs from MLA on here as they will net around 1300-1400lb per side and are much needed for this boat. The standard 1100lb locker sac will not produce enough weight for this boat as it won't completely fill enough. Unless you have the larger sacs you will need several ppl on the boat to help weight it surf wave will suck. Put the V bow sac up front on that model also. This boat will throw a bada## wave if the correct equipment is used. Send them to mikesliquidaudio.com he will get em what they need as he has set several of these 22ve up if they are to purchase.

Not trying to install a system, just do a demo!! LOL

Mike if I throw a 1000 in the surf corner should I add any bow weight or just run it like that?

I would go 1000 lbs on the surf side, what ever you can in the bow 10.8 with taps at 4.

I don't use any bow weight, only weight in the rear corner. I am set up just about exactly how Chp stated above.

Setup per mike will get a fairly good wave and likely be fine depending on rider size if not many peeps in the boat. When its 3 of us and we want GIGANDO wave well then ya really go crazy like we do w 1100 in rear locker/under seat with 300 lb bag on back seat and 400 on port seat with 400 up front and 150 brick in the aft corner on floor. highly over done but throws huge!

Thats where the wave preference comes in. Its not needed, but whats the skill level of your customers?
