Had a similar problem show up on our 24V last year. Replaced the high pressure fuel pump and fixed the problem. It was like the pump was over heating and would get weak. Let sit for a bit and would start up again.

What to do with a new boat that will not run!!!

The dealer delivered it Saturday to my house, ran it 4 hours and so far no problems other than a little surging at slow speed above idle, once warm it seems to improve.
I did not get any details of what was done this time other than being tolt that they found several little things that could be the problem??????
I love the boat but I may push them to take it back and give me a favorable trade deal to compensate my season of motor troubles.
Maybe ask to only pay the price in difference between 2014 and 2015 model ? plus any additional extras.
I would nearly duplicate my 2014 exactly.
Is this a reasonable request considering my lawyer said this situation qualifies as a lemon law issue, I don't want to go that route though unless they won't work with me.

i am almost wondering , if it wasn't a crankshaft position sensor, i have seen those little buggers do alot of crazy things..,

push them and see what they might be able to do, don't pull out the legal card until they stall etc. the second you pull the legal card they will go on the defensive.

Man, so sorry for how the boat has been. Tige needs to step up big time to help this customer. If you feel like the dealer has done their job to help you I would be directing anything "ridiculous" directly at the factory.

1. Tige completes a motor swap, the motor is obviously under warranty and I know the warranty is technically through Indmar but Tige needs to step in and facilitate this fix.... I think the customer is done enough to remedy this problem.
2. The dealer and or Tige buys that boat back and if the customer wants to continue to be a Tige customer they make a new boat purchase flawless and at a killer price.
I understand that problems happen and Tige is not the only company, you can jump on any forum board and see QC mishaps. I just expect it to be taken care of without any question when a brand new boat continues not to run after a customer pays 90k+ for it.
Just my .02

Sorry about all your crappy luck this summer tomp. I know how much summer means to me and everyone else on this board for that matter. It's inexcusable the problems you have had. You are one extremely patient fellow. I am just guessing that for some reason the factory is unaware of how much trouble you have had, because they should have stepped their a$$ up to the plate if they knew. Either they step up or it's time to hire an attorney IMO.

I packed up the jeep this morning and headed to the sand dunes for a few days, rather be boating though.
Again I love the boat when it's running, since it may run 20 minutes or hours before quiting how can you tell or trust that it is ever fixed??????
If it goes back again I need a loaner for the holiday!!!!
I don't get the feeling they work take the boat back even on a trade in without me paying a lot like.
I think that if I could trade in toward a comparably equipped 2015 for an additional $5,000.Last edited by Tomp; 08-24-2014, 08:48 PM.

At least that's how I'd phrase it with Corporate.
