What to do with a new boat that will not run!!!

Me again, 6th time stranded and in need of a tow, Anyone know how lemon laws work?

6 weeks and not fixed, 5 times to the dealer and my summer will be over before I can ever trust this thing.
$80,000 nightmare, I should have kept my 1995 ceturion it ran everyday and cost $6000.
2014 Z3 now 37 hours with 20 of them trouble shooting or trying to get running.
Indmar 350 looks nice at least !!!

Sell / trade or use as a floating dock..lol

    Done venting but still stranded.

First off, sorry for your troubles. What has the dealer tried to fix? I am assuming you have a no start issue?? Maybe let me know what the boat is doing, or in this case not doing, and I can tell you what we have seen and what we have done to correct it. First thought is are the wires tight on the back of your ignition and has your neutral safety switch been checked/ changed. Is it an early 14 with cable shifting or a later with electronic shifting?

Have you looked around for another Tige dealer for input whether it be a phone call or possibly dropping it by? I'd try that first then possibly email or call TIGE directly and see their recommendations as I doubt they won't take care of you in a situation like this.

Sorry to hear that. I would definitely just contact Tige directly. If u don't get any answer taking it to social media definitely makes an impact these days.

Call Harvey at tige and get him.on it , next call would be to indmar and also explain it , and as board says , what's it doing ? Sounds like a lose wire some place ,

Definitely a bummer. Hopefully you get this resolved.

Problem is that it's an intermittent engine issue that first showed up at 18 hours back in early June, the symptoms are consistent though.
Dealer did identify a fuel pressure drop when this happened at there facility, of course it usually runs fine for the dealer/ tech.
The boat will run a half hour maybe even two hours with no issues then usually at idle but not always start to cough pop and the idle will start dropping to where it is ready to stall by shaking rattling and then pop and die out, if you attempt to restart it will just stall or run for a few seconds then pop and die.
I know after this happening as many times as it has that if left sit a half hour or more it will restart and run fine again for 5 minutes or a few hours.

They have changed the low pressure fuel pump and just changed a fuel manifold that I was told was recalled?

I do hear the fuel pump run for a few seconds when turning the key on.

I did call Tige and indmar direct once but they refer me to the dealer.
Maybe it's the high pressure pump? They only try one part at a time.
I am 50 minutes away from my dealer in Fentom Mich and they have taken a few turns picking up and dropping off.
I'm not sure what trottle type it has?

              If that helps.

I unfortunately can't be of much help with that. We have had 0 fuel delivery issues with the 14's. Sounds like they are on the right track. It can sometimes be frustrating, but hang in there. I'm sure they will get it.

As to lemon laws they vary state to state, but in most states they do cover boats.

I know there are members on this forum that work for Tige in Abilene. If the boat has really been at the dealer 6 times this summer and it's still not fixed then TIGE NEEDS TO STEP UP AND GET IT FIXED! For god sakes its not a Bayliner, it's a hugely expensive wakeboat, there's clearly an issue with a brand new motor. Tige used the motor in the boats for one year and then changed it immediately the next year. If the dealer is the issue, hammer them, if the motor is the problem then Tige needs to fix it because Tige contracted to have that motor in the boat, if it's jacked up..... step up to the table don't tell a customer to contact the dealer..... THAT'S CLEARLY NOT WORKING!!!

All wakeboat companies have QC issues. I expect Tige to be at the top of the pile in regards to stepping up and saying "im sorry your having problems with your boat lets get it fixed correctly and we will help you do that."

Ok. I'm supposed to pick up a 2014 z3 with the 6.0 tomorrow. Has this motor had problems too? Should I be worried???

It seems that I am the only one with this problem, I called both Tige and indmar and they did not seem to have heard of any similar issues?
This motor is used on other brands as well.

I honestly don't think this should detour any one from buying a similar boat package, I know it will end up being a cheap fix once found, hopfully before the end of summer.

That is ridiculous!!! I feel for you my friend!! I would definitely contact Tige direct and let them know your next stop is an attorney. For $80,000 that thing should run itself!!! Asinine in my book!!! Hang in there.

Don't let my post give you second thoughts on purchasing that Tige you have lined up. Tomp's situation is the most severe I have seen. I have seen other owners that have had issues with O2 sensors, but this was caused by clearance issues as I have read.

There are bunch of manufacturer's who use Indmar now.... Axis, Malibu, MB, Moomba, Sanger, Supra and Tige. In 2014 at least.

Indmar has had it's issues in the past but what motor company hasn't. Tige specific..... they have moved the whole powerplant line to the Ford raptor base for 2015. GM stopped producing the 350 blocks last January so boat manufacturers had to make a choice to move forward.

My previous post was meant to convey that if I called Tige about my 80k boat and I was told work with my dealer after the boat had been there 6 times I would flip my s***.

Maybe time to trade in on another boat or get a loaner of equal value while its being serviced again, three weeks and summer is gone and my kids are back to school.

We got 100 hours on the old centurion last summer and we would have had more than that on the new boat if it could be depended on to run all day.

I will be on the phone alot this morning for sure!!!
