It's less about witnesses, and more about troubleshooting. They can't fix what they can't see or experience, but if your videos demonstrate what is happening it may give them an "AHA!" moment that leads to a fix faster than waiting for a magic moment when a technician happens to be there when it happens.

Take many minutes of video, with you commenting while you're trying things. "Now I will try starting the engine again." "You can see that it isn't working properly because when I do [this], it doesn't do [that]."
I've actually done that just this summer and showed my mechanic how the engine was behaving before cutting out and it pushed him in the right direction to solve the issue. Turned out to be both fuel pumps being done and a connector issue... He actually got stranded himself doing a water test.

I think at this point, tige should step up and buy the boat back period. This is awful for all parties involved

          Update!!!!

I did get some good I phone video of the boat problem that has been leaving me stranded about 14 times now since mid June!
Best one was just today after an hour hanging out and crusing with my GF it started surging and running irregular like it always will before it quits all together and needs a 45 minute rest to restart.

This should be a game changer in my dealer negotitions for sure, I was told last weekend that a duplicate replacement on a 2015 would cost me $19000 additional, I compared the 2014 and 2015 list price sheets and the 2015 is up about $7000.

I think at this point it's a full refund or more like a $7000. Charge to get a duplCate 2015 for next year, our season is about over now anyway.

Man, hopefully Tige steps up and does the right thing. Please post the video if you have a chance.

Yes, please post the video. Now that you have hard evidence it's going to be important for someone (Tige? Indmar?) to step up. I'll wager it won't be the dealer that solves this problem....

$19000 to boot on a boat that has been a problem all season is crazy. I would think you should be getting upgraded for little or no money. Have you personally tried contacting Tige? If so what are they telling you and who did you talk to?

Why would you be willing to pay anything at all? Anything more to this?

I am going to try to condense the video to make it send able by email, I hesitate to post it online until I know I have exhausted or given the dealer one more chance to work with me.

I will put it up on a private u tube video at some point.

Thanks for all the opinions, I am totally surprised that someone from Tige has not stepped in on this tread or made contact with me????
I pretty much feel like I have been left abandon and on my own with both the manufacturer and Dealer !!

Does this boat not qualify for a lemon law?

Why wait for them to contact you? While they to tend to monitor the board "periodically" they aren't watching them 24/7. If it were me I would be lighting their phones up and would have been a while before this. If you need names you can PM me or I'm sure other can offer contacts as well.

Wow, I would be livid if I had this problem and it wasn't resolved yet. Time for Tigé/Indmar to step in and make it right.

I agree with boardman, if the dealer has not informed Tige of this challenge with your boat they may not even be aware of all the things you have gone through. Maybe the dealer doesn't want to let Tige know that they have been continually unsecessful in troubleshooting your issue. You just never know, so again, reach out direct to Tige technical support/service and let them know.

Honestly, I really doubt and don't feel that Tige or the dealer should be responsible to purchase the boat back or give you a full refund. I do feel however that an complete engine and fuel system swap shoudl be made as this is most likely where the problem is. For them to take back the hull, interior, tower, TT.... that is otherwise all performing and working as expected is alot to expect. A new engine and fuel system seems much more logical and in line for all parties. Just my

It's not an "upgrade", it's "finally getting a boat that works as promised". He shouldn't pay anything at all. If he's getting "more", it should be properly viewed as compensation for all of the time lost, frustration suffered, etc. that he's experienced with his current boat. He should get a straight swap, no money involved at all.
