PRE is short for precision. Tiges tag line used to be Precision Watersports Towboats. All the model numbers started with PRE and ended with WT (ex. PRE 2200i WT, my personal favorite). Precision 22' direct drive Watersports Towboat.

    What tower does it have?

      Man - you're quick!

Don't know yet on the tower. I was talking to the seller via cell phone and he barely had coverage so the conversation was very brief. The details at this point are very sketchy and I'm a details kind of guy.

Just good timing, that's all (read:can't keep mind on work when it's 90 degrees, clear and calm). If he's got some kind of internet add slap a link to it so we can check it out.

So as being a details kind of guy, ya' gotta be. Thats the absolute best frame of mind to be in when buying a boat.

The ad is pretty plain - I don't have a lot to go on yet. I actually started another post asking about this vintage of boat and what people like / don't like about it.

          Here's the description:

Awesome ski/wakeboard boat. 98 Tige V-drive 22 foot w/Tapps wake system. Teak ski platform. Custom cover, tandem trailer, bimini top, tower, cd player with tower speakers, open bow. Baby forces sale. E-mail or call

I talked to him very briefly as his cell coverage was spotty at best and he said 370 hours, 2nd owner, maintained at the local MC dealer, and all service records since it was new. Eggshell/cream, black and green trim. -That I would like to see as my tow vehicle (Expedition) is green and tan. They might actually look good together -

I just now came across a 2001 Moomba Mobius V that looks pretty good too that is local. Maybe have to go check that out to compare.

Sounds like it could be a damn nice boat. Definately worth checking out. Don't buy a Mooba when your this close to owning a Tige. The repect from your peers is well worth it. As a Tige owner you can look down your nose at the Mooba people. J/K.

One thing about used boats is that if the boat is built like a Tige is and it has been well maintained, it will last forever and have way better resale when you get a new Tige down the road.
