Broken Welds on Tige Board Racks

I noticed a few minutes into our trip that both Tige board racks had broken welds. The starboard rack actually broke the weld and the bolts that add support. Had anyone else had this problem? 1 weld I would call par for the course but two? They are at a local welder and should run me about $75 to get repaired.

Those have broke before and been repaired, you can tell by the welds. I would take them to a machine shop and have a gusset welded on.

Couldnt find the original threads (there where many) of my dealings with this, but was able to dig up some pics i had saved. After the originals broke, and the replacements broke, and then the welded replacements from Tige broke, I did the gussets. It was this or convert to the 07 design with the lock bolt that went through the billet upright.

Great idea, I'll give them a call and ask for something in that fashion. Thanks!

I had a similar issue with this on my 07 RZ2 racks. I also just had them re welded but sold the boat shortly after that so I am not sure how they held up.
