VX or no VX? 13' RZR

Surf "X" package? Sounds like a "X" pump (cross pump) and "X" drains and vents (cross vent and drain). If so, it may not be a "game changer" but it would sure be practical and useful!

Shouldn't be any prop wash on the Regular side. Rotates to the goofy side. It does clean the face some on the regular side but so does more weight.

Basically If you add the VX, your gonna need more weight period , whether it be sacs or people or lead shot , your gonna need more !!!

That is what Surf X does adds rear weight to the pro system i believe

Completely understood... Just trying to understand if doing both VX and ballast upgrades will help the prop wash issue I have at times. Not really an issue just a little water in the face is all. Still completely surfable

Just re-read thread. If I were in your position, I would do the following combo:

1) Upgrade Ballast - best $ for improved wave IMO

2) Spend $50 and make a Duffy flap (horse stall mat) to clean up the wash. Its very effective at taming it. I think Squid had a lot of success prior to VX with the mat.

You can always add a Vx later.

Ditto on the mat - that is what we did and prop wash gone. About 60 bucks in parts. Before and after. I have outlined what we did in a thread on here.

Looking to make a flap this fall. Any experience to what is does to the underwater lights? Seems like it would block them at low speeds. Maybe even at surf speeds?
