    Z3 surf video

It's been awhile since I posted on the forum. Always get great info from you guys. Thought I would share this video my A/V buddy put together from a couple weeks ago at Lake LBJ in Central Texas. My buddies and I rent a house on LBJ (upper colorado arm) and spend the weekend surfing, grilling, eating and drinking various libations. 6 years ago fellow Tige owner KVON had the best idea ever for guys weekend for a getaway for a group of old friends and we have been having a blast every summer since. KVON is on the video cover riding a CWB Tsunami and I am riding my new Shredstixx Big Chief. Wish we could have gotten more footage from the drone but that was buddies first time taking it in a boat and he was nervous about losing it. He did not expect to get talked into filming with it over the lake! He just got a drone with a Go Pro stabilizer so hopefully we will have better footage soon from the air. And he wants to learn to drop the rope (guy riding goofy) so he is motivated to come out.

Thx guys. Boat is running pro ballast with a 1500 sack on the rear port side, change it out with the stock 500. Think that puts me at like 2k. All full and about 5 dudes on the port side with taps at 3 I think. We played around all weekend as we burned down the gas. I love my z3 wake!

What is your ballast setup in the Z3? How fast do you normally go, and what is taps set at? Do you have the VX?

I enjoyed that, great experimentation with angles and speed, fun to watch. A bit more tuning should give you a very clean face, get rid of that cut. Unless you like it that way, some do, thats fine if thats how you roll. ;-)

                            Thx guys.
@Robert we go every summer and my Z3 is solid pacific blue so come say hello if you see us out next summer.
@bmorrewiz I am running pro ballast with a 1100 LB sack on the port side. I changed it out with the 500LB. All full so the port side is over double starboard. And with a few guys on that side too. Running at 11.8 with taps around 3 most the time. i do NOT have the VX. When I was standing on the platform if is about 10 - 12 inches under water.
@ragboy I have a cut in the edging around the platform that is messing up the face a little, I am going to try some duct tape on that to see if it cleans it up and then evventually replace that edging. I am curious what else weight wise I could do to improve the wake however I do love it. My buddy did the editing and he has no experience with this type of shoot so I am impressed with what he put together. I want to do more with the handheld go pro I like those angles and I have some more ideas after looking at that video.
