Throttle/shifter came out of the side of my boat

While on the lake, my throttle/shifter just came out of the side on my 2002 tige. I have no idea how to put it back in. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Do you have pic? In other words , did it come out because the nuts fell off the screws or did the handle detach from the base ??

Should have a allen screw that you access through a slot in the bottom that tightens to the spline shaft on throttle , please show pictures to confirm.

Mine came off of my 2003 24V a couple of weeks ago, and it happened because the whole thing had corrosion all over it at the connection point. When it came out and slipped forward, it also severed the TAPS wiring. I don't know how to fix it...sorry. I had the dealer do it. They put a whole new shifter/throttle on it, rewired it, etc. I am posting this just because mine is about the same vintage, so it could possibly have similar corrosion, and may warrant some new parts.
