Call all the outside dealers and check there inventory.
Once the 15 models hit anyone can sell you a 14.

Also I was offered a sweet deal on an out of state current 2014 last spring, it was considered a demo and that made the difference.
I was able to get about 30% off at a show, salesman/ dealer and factory rep were motivated to move the boats d knew I was ready to buy something else, this z3 was new and not a demo

Outside dealers as in out of state or what do you recommend?

Also, has anyone ordered a 2015. If I was willing to part with $90k shouldn't I be able to get one decked out identical just with the newer year and motor? thoughts?

So with the engine change to 400hp do you think for similar to the same price to just order a new one?

Also on the Tige website I see some special going on of $3k in savings on options or something like that.

I bought at the Ft Worth dealership a couple months ago. Could have bought a 2013 rz2 demo (18 hours) with majority of options you mentioned for $71k. They also have a few 2014 z1's that have been there since April at least and The price was 71k on those but with fewer options.

I contacted the Ft.Worth and they are stating the z1 on the site (white & red) is like $81k roughly $86 out the door. Thoughts?

Also, on the Tige website they state a $3000 or more boat show discount on selected options. This Ft.Worth dealer stated that's for winter shows not summer shows. Summer is $1500.

The best time frame to buy a boat is between October and February. At a boat show where manufacturers reps will be. That is unless you go the left over route. It really depends on how bad you want a certain color or option.

Can someone explain exactly what the 'left over' route is?

It sounds like it's just unsold boats from the previous year model? So like if I went to a dealership today, I'd ask if they had any left over 2013 models?

A used boat is just that, a used boat. One that was sold, titled to a private party no being sold as such. a "left over" is a previous year model thats still in the dealers inventory and the new/now current model year boats are out. Same thing in the car biz about this time of year. The 2015's are rolling out, but dealers may have some 2014's or even 2013's left in stock. They may have some demo hours, but have never been titled, so technically new. One acceptation would be if the boat exceeded the allowable demo hours. At that point, it enters a gray area.

And a big difference between "used" and "leftover" boats is that used boats generally don't have a factory warranty (unless there is some warranty left from the first owner and the manufacturer lets you transfer the warranty, usually for a fee).

Leftover boats, being literally brand new with no titled owner in their history, DO come with a full factory warranty. You are the first and original titled owner. It just happens that you didn't pick up your new boat until the next year's models started shipping. It's an absolutely great way to save tens of thousands of dollars.

used models or left overs? If used, id say alot of sellers are trading up in size and features.
