Would definitely shop around or wait a few weeks and that price will drop. Texas can use boats more year round than other states so that helps keep the price up, might look at some other seasonal states. I know you can get into a 14 model z3 for 15k less and even a 15 model z3 for less than that price with same options.

So heard back from the dealer. Absorbing the cost of the Bimini so $1800 is all I've gotten movement wise. Still above $90k out the door final. I still think there should be some wiggle room on a 2014 that's been on the floor. No pro ballasts just upgraded rear and only 2 rev 10s. They offered to I stall underwater rear lights for $400. Thoughts on all this?

contacted an out of state dealer and they stated that the geographic restrictions never go away. Only reason it would not apply would be if the boat had been registered so a "used" boat. Any truth to this? Was hoping to just wait and pick up one that a dealer didn't want to sit on any longer later in the year.
Looks like Tige limits their customers. I understand that I will be using my local dealer for service but who is to say I move a year after purchase?

To my knowledge if the boat is on their property and it wasn't ordered for you Its all game in who can purchase the boat. Now that being said I have heard that the dealer you are trying to deal with (local dealer) should cater somewhat to your needs (price) or the customer has all rights to deal elsewhere and tige will stand behind that choice. But again this may be rumor.

Yeah well any dealer I call, even in state ask where I am and then turn off to selling a boat which is surprising.
Liked the Tige.. but, when someone is wanting to part with $90k I would like to see more effort and willingness to get me into a boat.Last edited by brimetime; 07-18-2014, 12:24 AM.

I have even had local dealer turn down servicing my boat since I didn't get it there and I bought it used! I love to trade locally but I refuse to buy from someone because they think I "have to". I want to do business with people that want to do business with me. I love my Tige and as a Texan I want to support a Texas product but the above practice and non transferrble warranties will make me re-think my next purchase.

If they think you're interested in a current year boat, they're not going to spend time talking to a customer to whom they are prohibited from selling a current year boat. But make it crystal clear you're only looking at leftover boats for which there is no such restriction, and they should be willing to talk to you because you are just as valid a customer as anyone else.
