Tahoe City Marina> Bandits...robbers. We thought last summer's gas price there was a joke: $5.60

Gas prices on the street are close to last years (4 bucks) so this is imho highway robbery. Plus every other Marina on the lake is at least dollar cheaper.

We're burning through gas$ like nobody's biz!

Anyone else come close to this price?

No, because he probably has less of a margin than the guy up on the hiway at the quick-stop. I know this, cause i worked a summer for a buddy that runs a full service marina. He could trailer a boat across the bridge and fill it for a new boat buyer, cheaper then what he paid for a gallon in his marine tanks.

That mean 7,85 per gallons at the marina

In British Columbia at my our lake marina it is 1.789 a litre and on the street it is 1.289. Also the fuel from the marina is died so there is no road tax on that fuel.

I always like to support the marina cause it sucks more when they close shop due to ppl not using them. Our marina averages around $.80 to $1.00 more than in town so I only fill partially, just enough to support them. I think July 4th gas was around $4.65 and $3.39 in town. I figure time loading, hauling and possibility of a DUI into town going to cost more than the few extra $$ at the marina pump!!

I get it for sure, I love the Marina up the coast. They're really stand up guys and have really helped me for at least 20 years.

But when that Marina down the road 4 miles charges $1.25 less AND the Marina 8 miles the other way is $1.45 less than $6.90..

Shouldn't someone have to take maybe a little roughin' up?

Same guys said 400 for a new top mount starter (including labor). The other Marina's were right around 250. These starters might be the easiest starters in the modern world to change..I can't wait to do it myself

Shame I'm moored near these guys and not down the west end. Might have to get serious and give up my bouy

Just whining here guys. Folks that gouge in this economic climate kinda' get my goat sometimes. I apologize. I know boating is $$ and I rarely complain cause of the fun factor

I actually posted this to find out what everyone else was paying. That litre thing throws me off..never really bothered to learn the conversion factor..price per gallon was what I was after

in Tn the street price is 3.29 i paid 4.03 at the marina for 87 with no ethanol. That can be part of the difference. I would suggest moving. lol

The most remote place I know of for fuel is Dangling Rope Marina at Lake Powell. It is only accessible from water and it's about 30 miles up the lake from Page AZ. I guess they have to barge it up. It is only $5.53 per gallon.

No on-lake fuel source here but non-ethanol premium at nearby stations that cater to boaters is running $4.24/gallon.

those are all bargains. I wonder...if our Marina is the most expensive?

Keep those gallon prices coming. This is a good reference point for new owners too

I use premium because that's the only way I can get it without ethanol around here. I'd prefer regular 87 octane without ethanol, but "without ethanol" is the priority so I take premium.

4.49 at my marina, I live there so I get a discount to 4.09 street is 3.49 so for fuel with no ethanol as support my marina for .60 I have no problem with that. But I went for a day on lake Austin just a few miles away with same county and they charge 5.89 a gallon. A dollar more then my marina. I have a hard time believing they are paying more. Oh and no one to help at the dock. And prices on other stuff were more expensive as well.
