I love the design of the tiges the way they are right now, IMO they have the best looking boat on the ski boat market right now. Everyone I talk to says that the pickle fork is ugly and drives them away from that model of the MC. If tige does do a pickle fork at least have it in a different model.

GET THE GAS GAUGES RIGHT!!!! A gas gauge seems like a very simple device to be reading all of the threads that go back a few years and being told to get used to it. I spent to much money to get used to anything not working right! So far every week Ihave had at least six 19 to 23 year old males on my boat so Tige' if you are listening these are future boat buyers! Other than that I love my Boat!

I guess thats why MC can charge 70-90k per boat and still not keep up with demand?

I also saw an X-Star this weekend with the swim platform duct taped and when I inquired with the owner he said it just started delaminating and he was about to take the dealer to court. They clamed the platform was not made for saltwater yet he has a saltwater series boat...go figure.

wow... that sounds like a dealer problem. Has he tried going straight to MC?

Salt water is just hard on equipment. It seems that things only seem to last a couple of years before you have to repair or replace them.

It'd be interesting to mount a hydrofoil to the TAPS plate.

                BUT...

putting two plates, one on each side, you could counter for an imbalanced boat. i.e. when you've got people on one side and cruising, or when towing with an odd number of people on board. For example, if the wake is washy on one side, put the TAPS plate (or trim tab, whichever you want to call it) up on that side - with the other side down.

The other way of approaching this is to put one big plate in the center, split down the middle with "wings" going out to each side. Actuate each side independently and you can get the same effect.
I called "Triple Taps" last year. One main plate for raising or lowering the stern and two out board plates for controling roll. "Pitch and Roll Control" has a nice little ring to it. It would be awesome tuning the wake side to side as well as up and down.

                Anybody?
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

I don't personally know the guy, just met him out on the water and he was asking about the Tige cause he is looking to replace the MC if he can get the dealer to buy it back or repair it. The fact that the closest MC dealer is an hour away and he could get a Tige serviced right down the street helps too.

Id be willing to bet that we can make our own... just put a trim tab on each side! I sense a project coming on... Man- this could work for surfing too- when you WANT it to lean over more!

I'll bet it messes up the wake. Someone try it and let me know

I think you guys are on to something. Can we get someone from Tige to chime in and tell us if they've experimented with something like this?

I understand how you might think that, but the thing that shapes the wake the most is how the hull rides in the water...I would think it would help because you could balance both sides of the wake instead of just the overall shape.
