Edit- For the Ve series, I meant put the walkthrough straight out the back, down the centerline of the boat. Just wanted to clairify before I got nailed...

Then you wouldn't have a ski pylon.

        Looks:
Graphics! What's next barbwire, Asian alphabet, maybe flames, oh sorry Mailbu already has the meteorite thing going? MC nailed it, well almost (Xstar). Supra is nice. CC almost. Heck my 03' riders has nicer looking graphics than 90% of the, my brothers kids birthday party looking, boats on the water.
        Function:
Can someone explain why a 20-24 foot wakeboard boat needs a walk-thru transom?? I don't care if it is down the middle, on the side or a rip cord attached to the tower...It is useless, period!!!! USE A TOWEL if you think you are going to rip holes in your transom cushion with your bare feet or cut your toe nails. We are talking 2 1/2 maybe 3 feet to the platform. (you can tell this is my biggest WHY? about wakeboard boats)
        Cooler. Change NOW.
Radio. Genuis, lets close it up in the glove box. I wish my car had the radio in the glove box, sweet. This goes for all boats. Don't give me...to protect it from the water BS.

I'm like the post before...Bling or a working speedo. Bling or a working fuel gage. For 50k (+)....don't you think we should get both? Ok. toned down bling is nice.

          Functionality & Safety.....

Wow.. Nice to see everyone out with ideas.. I can't wait to see what changes it brings to 07 boats. Here come my 2 cents.

Mastercraft has implemented some great concepts. One I like is moving the nav lights back to be more visible and higher on the water.. Safety is number one with me... Also on the safety line... Not everyone is mounting their rearview mirror off the tower, some still leave it on the front window. Sanger posted it up a couple of inches allowing the driver to scan the horizon and eliminating the need to look around it every 12 seconds..\\ Also their foot board for the driver to rest his feet and brace his tired back.. is an amazing insight into a day on rough water...

Good luck.. Can't wait to see the new boats...

How 'bout a massaging driver's seat for CessnaCaptain? If you add the footboard, why not a foot massage....maybe some aroma therapy candles

Actually, the foot board is a good idea...i'd just want to be able to remove it. Right now I often use my throwable cushion for exactly this purpose.

Here is what I would like to see:

              1. Snap out carpet in the whole boat
              2. I want the picklefork for more bow room
              3. More gel options and colors
              4. Bimini that is easier to use
              5. Better graphics
              6. A few more creature comforts

Thats all I can think of for now. I know I started this thread but I have not been able to fully respond to this thread. I will try to catch up over the weekend.

I'm hearing some gripes about the biminis. I personally have no experience with the new factory biminis but if Tige is going to look for ideas to fix it (and I know they will, right Tige?), Look no further than Supra. Their tilt down fixed bimini is the ****. I'm going to convert mine into the same type of deal. It will probably going to cost me another $k but its worth it.

                  Couple more items:

If snap in carpet is used, add scuppers into floor for easy wash down.

Raise the bow of the boat up a little to prevent water over the front in chop water.

Put back access door in driver side compartment (removed on Ve).

Use sound proofing material on inside of motor cavity.

"Mold in" or use PVC air intakes instead of flimsy plastic hoses in storage areas.

                  my .02 worth

Zany has a great idea with the air intakes. I have trashed the flimsy hoses that are on my boat. The replacement is actually pretty tough to get to stay. It does run down the side of the storage compartment, so I don't think it is too much to ask for it to be a little more sturdy if it is going to be in the way when taking items in and out of the storage. I guess it was cheap to make the way it is now...

The bimini that came with my metcraft tower is functional and easy to set up.
                    Be excellent to one another.

Briliant! That is exactly what I'm doing with mine. Basically just a carpeted, removable box to cover up the hose running from the top of the dash to the floor.

I thought you were going for the full super charger blower? Kinda sounds like you're settliing....I'm so disappointed

I'm still trying to figure out how to stuff an 871 under the motor box.

Looks like everyone is busy at work. Just like me

Tall, is your Bimini different than mine? Mine has swivel hinges on them that make it impossible to set up by myself. Unless of course, I want it prematurely collapsing on me everytime I try to manuever it under my tower speakers.

                              Lucky,
DO you mean that you are making something like the carpeted doohickey that hides the steering cable going down to the floor in front of the driver's seat?

My bimini is easy to open and put down by myself. Maybe we'll have to post pics and see if we have the same.

The bimini on my 2002 required a PhD in biminology to figure out and usually two people to set up.
