i like the slope on our 24v. we still have plenty of storage for the toys. i also like the ve. ve seems a little more useful for putting board on. both are sweet a boats!

I really don't mind the profile of the boats, I just can't get over would could be and it just kills it. IMHO (yeah right, humble, I know what I am), so far as boats are concerned, form should always follow function. The sloped transom is the converse of that statement.
Dude, have you ever looked in one? The V-Drive compartments are cavernous...I could sleep in one of them. Furthermore, all your hydraulics, batteries, etc. are back there, so it's not like you could use it anyway.

        Dogbert.....

I can see how you might think that.. But once you've had the luxury of using one.. you'll see what I mean...

I have more storage than I know what to do with. My boarders sit on the platform to put on there boards so not an issue.

I also like the VE and if I was buying a boat this year that is what I would have bought.
          Let it be!!!

Your absoulutly right, I guess I did contradict myself. But I see the a lockable electronics locker as a meat and potatos substance thing, where as the sloped transom is more of a styling cue.

To my mind the sloped transom is not under-usefull, or overly difficult for the rider. And the squared off rear end of most of these boats looks like someone designed right up to 22 feet, then drew a straight line and said "I'm done!"

The V and the Ve are complete packages, they look like sports cars from front to back, not just from the front.

The walkthrough is what cracks me up. Who is going to take time to move the pad, flip the seat cushion walk across, then reflip seat cushion, replace pad, ride.

That's not a Tige specific issue though, just one I always thought was interesting. Maybe the Ve guys will tell me I'm full of it!

Agreed. I'll shut up about the slope now and go hide behind a rock.

The Electronics Locker idea is stellar. Freakin' stellar man. Especially with a nice lock and maybe a fan. That would be so tight. I think just about everyone agrees that the Ve's look awesome. Best looking Tiges to date IMO. Now if only I could get a 22Ie. Maybe some day.

I also agree that walkthroughs are lame. Do people with them actually use them? I don't see that I would. However, I've never had one so what do I know?

I do kinda like walkthroughs. I have two friends with Chris Crafts, one '99 and one '97. The '99 with no walkthrough has a sunpad that looks like crap while the '97 with walkthrough and slightly smaller sunpad but more hours still looks great. Just my experience. I guess I will see with our new 22v how the Tige's sunpad area will hold up.

                  Transom and walkthru

Supra has a cool option. Lift the sunpad and theres a walkway hidden underneath it.

I think there's a ton of storage on the V, and it hides the batteries. Battery placement is also good. Had an incident over memorial day where another boat needed a jump. I had the only boat where the cables would actually reach.

As far as being a pain for wakeboarders, turn around and hold onto the transom handle to put on the board. It also saves the transom from getting banged up.

On the downside we like to sit on the sunpad and watch wakeboard events, and there's nothing stopping the water from rolling right up the transom, except my lifejackets tied to the back.

                    Tige Improvements

First I'd like to say that every year tige surprises me with new innovation. I am more than confident that Tige will not let any of us down in years to come.

So what can Tige Start doing IMO.
                    1. Snap out carpets (already mentioned, but important enough to repeat)
                    2. Dual gas fills. A great selling point on correct crafts is the ability to fill from either side of the boat.
                    3. More innovative Dash. (maybe pulling ideas from the luxury car market)
                    4. Some type of non skid near midship. Not everyone will use the walkthroughs or small steps.
                    5. Things like stainless steel cupholders, rubrail, should be standard. Tige shouldnt want any boat seen without looking its finest. Ensure that by letting no boat look like a cost cutter.
                    6. Every tower should have board racks. Some may argue this is up to the dealer whether he orders with or without. I believe Tige should include this. Then offer the upgrade to the swivel racks.
                    7. Final point - offer packages like the Nautique Team Edition. Some high end customers want their boat to say its got it all.

Just my opinion. Would love to hear feedback, especially from Tige.

Second on the dual gas fills. That would be really nice. If I'm filling up the boat and the truck I have to fill one and then pull around to the other side. If I could fill both at the same time it sure would be nice. You also never know what your going to get so far as gas docks if you're on a new lake and you need to fill up on the water. The two gas docks I go to on the two different lakes are opposite to each other in the way you need to pull in. It sure would be nice not to have to worry about it.

OK, I think we all have excellent ideas here and I cannot believe that Andrew or someone has yet to comment on this. I once again second that we all have the best boats in the industry, and I would also mention that it is the folks like us us who will continue to make Tige have the best boats in the industry. What's wrong with wanting our brand to be the market share leader?

                        Bring on the picklefork!!!

I also support the two gas filling locations as suggested. A modification design to existing boats would also be much appreciated. Several other competitors have this design on their boats and I suggested and written about this some time back. Also, how about some chrome tips on the exhaust. Also a drain or drains going to the bildge would be nice, that way if we take on water or wash the inside, water will drain quickly into the bildge.

                            Gman,

Wouldn't it be pretty easy to modify the gas fill to the other side? Just T off of the current hose and drill a hole in the other side like the port side fill you have now. Would a new vent even be needed?
                            Be excellent to one another.

The walkthru transom is the nicest feature on my 22 ve (imo) It is really nice for the older folks at the dock to not have to climb over the cushoins. And all that dirt I keep washin g off the walktru is not on my cushions! Way to go Tige on that one!! Actually I love the whole darn Boat!

I heard somewhere that in real usage(not at a closed contest) the picklefork front end is a wet ride.
