    Changes Tige should make...

First and foremost I would like to say that I am a die hard Tige owner. I am actually on my third one (plan on ordering an 07 as well) and would not trade it for the world. However, I was a wakeboard comp over the weekend and the towboats being used were Mastercraft X-Star. After looking at them and comparing them to my boat parked right next to it, I think that Tige could incorporate some of the "bling" or details that other manufacturers use into their boats. Tiges would become that much better I think.

I am just wondering how many other Tige owners are out there that feel the same way. I would like to see some more gel options, some more fit and finish touches and for the love of God some better graphics. Tiges are in my opinion the best boats out there, but I think it is time that Tige take some chances versus being on the conservative side.

    Anyone else feel the same?

So if I read you correctly, you like the white square on the back of the boat that Master Craft uses, better then what tige is doing?

I would strongly disagree, as I think the 06 Tige’s look much better than any 06 master craft. Now centurion has some really nice graphics!

As far as the inside goes, yes it could be better, but is it worth the extra cost?

I have 3 kids, and would rather have basic interior and save the extra money for other things.

I have heard that Tige is switching to that weird front end like the Master Craft X-Star. I dont think i really like that, it makes it look like a deck boat.

I would like snap-out carpet throughout the boat personally. I like the fact that Centurion does that and still manages to keep the cost down. Tige is still top in my book for my use.

                  Hull-

I have always liked Tiges styling of the hull itself. That is untill the sloped transom came into effect on the V's(2000,2001?). The rest of the boat looked great untill you got to the transom. 100% worthless. The Ve's look out-freakin-standing. Dope, stupid fly, pimp. Plus they are functional. That's biggest problem with the V's, IMO. The transom is useless. The only thing it does well is make it tough to get your board on. Granted, the Ve "restyle" is more of a "plant on" than anything but it just turned out looking awesome. Best thing Tige has done in this century. I'm of the opinion that all the V-drives should have the Ve transom.

                  Graphics-

Horrible. Some of the worst in the business. Outdated, overplayed, under thunk, flat out lame. The limited graphic is the only one I would ever consider. Every single other one should be thrown in the trash. The gel coat pattern is OK but it sure would be nice to see some sort of optional pattern. For what it's worth, the gelcoat on that orange MC up there is the shiz. No soft pretty lines or flowing swoopy designs. Sraight up, hard line, all business. It looks like a race car. The red one looks stupid with the crayon X's all over it but at least it's different. I like the lay out and concept of the "fade" if you will, just not the concept of the crayon X's. Centurions are bad also. They look like a kid with some constuction paper and scissors did them. The new MB "puzzle" graphic looks pretty cool, IMO. Get with the times Tige. The tribal, west coast, extreme crap was dead years ago yet it's still on every new Tige I see. Yuck.

                  Future-

Build the pickle fork. Good ideas are good ideas. It's not like MC invented it or something. They copied it because it's a great idea. Also, and I've said this a million times, please bring back a 22i with a normal lay out (bench seat in back). I've also got some ideas for a new skybox arangement. I know and understand that it would require new molds and such but I have to put it out there. While your at it, put a pickle fork on it. Hmmmm, 22i with a pickle fork front end, skybox seating and race car graphics? Where do I sign?
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

Personally, I think they hit a home run with the new Ve series. I also think the I/R series is the best set-up for a DD inboard.

There's always some fit/finish gizmo that you will see on another boat and wonder why it doesn't come stock on yours.

For example, a friend of mine owned a Ski Centurion and it had snap-in carpet in both the walk-thru area and the cockpit. That's very handy and I wish my boat had that. My snap-in carpet in the walkway is wearing much better than the carpet in the cockpit. I'm sure it would cost more, but I'd be willing to get that if it were an option.

Another option I'd love to have is a power driver's seat, PerfectPass controls on my steering wheel and stereo controls on my steering wheel.

wow controlls on your steering wheel when they are a foot in front of you, i dont know about that, it would proably cost like an extra $2500 just to do that. That is just gettin a little lazy, huh?

I agree with Nicky that the graphics are outdated. We went with the West coast Graphic because everyone here had Rider's Graphics.

I like that the Gel coats options were expanded last year, but what is with the swoopy upturn stuff at the transom? The graphics and Gelcoat options always seem to be an afterthought.

My thoughts, Tige should pre-release some graphics ideas to a focus group. Maybe they did it with this last set, but those are the worst yet.

                          Just my opinons.

Oh, and I disagree about the Sloped Transom. I like it, it sets a really great visual image in the water. But I like the Ve as well.

You gotta see one up close. The Ski Dock has a midnight blue 22Ve with orange transom...it's really sweet. Unfortunately, there's a limit to my wife's patience and I think I'm way across that line at the moment

Let me start by saying my 20i is the toughest (in bad conditions) litte ski boat out there. I love the durability in rough water...when you hit the lake it can be perfect, but by the time your getting out it is usually nasty...and I never worry. I really think Tige is falling behind in the market. At the boat show the Mrs. fell in love w/ the new x2...she almost made me buy one there...maybe I can get her drunk next year and get a new boat.... there is always hope!

I like the pickle look and if you have been in one it is roomy in the front.
Lay out the interior storage a bit better ie; make room for a real cooler, lets face it the factory one is small and doesnt maintain ice well.

Make a true factory ballast under the floor w/some monitoring on the dash. I know tige makes a good wake, but we all know it kicks w/ballast and I dont like messing w/sacs anymore.

Get rid of the west coast (tramp stamp tatoo) graphics...if you have a clean boat w/good lines dont mess it up w/crap.

Go back to the clean look interior...who cares about snake skin look in a boat. Make the whole thing snap out carpet.

Change up the gel....maybe a metal flake option for some bling, bling.

just a few of my opinions on what I like.

Biggest change needed....better dealer service departments...anyone can sell a boat, but maintaining a customer is really in service.
