    Diagnosed loss of power problem

So after a few weeks of hit or miss on finding my loss of power problem I figured it out. I bought this 2100V with the 350Mag Mercruiser Engine. First time out I took it out was myself and two 120lbs friends. The boat seemed ok. Took off decent, surfed with no problems, and pulled a tube no problem. Felt a little weak, but then again I just thought it was what happens when you go from a RZ4 to a 1999 2100V. Next time out had 9 people in the boat and could not go over 20mph. Tried to wakeboard and that was a disaster. Pulled wakeboarder up but nothing. RPMs would stay around 2500. Would never plane out, even with everyone up front. Went home changed spark plugs, changed water seperator, drained all fluid and replaced, added seafoam, ordered a 537 prop. Went to the lake and everything was better but only 25mph and could not plane out with 6 people in the boat. Could not even tube. Took boat home and was going to pull the fuel pump. Boat always started took off ok, and never shut off so thought it might be fuel delivery issue. Fuel pressure was not picking up due to a falty fuel pressure gauge. Well connection was misleading due to not getting a good connection. Anyways began to mess with the fuel injectors and noticed that on the rear two starboard side imjectors the connections were loose. After taking out the fuel injectors the connections actually broke off. I thought I had caused this but after removing the spark plugs, good thing I had replaced them the week before, the two on same side were still brand new looking. I ordered two new fuel injectors, and guess what? Boat runs like a dream. So yes change out your old gas, tune your motor up, change filters, but before you run off and buy a new prop because you cant get over 25mph or plane out check your fuel delivery. My fuel pump was turning on and boat was never cutting out so pretty much that shouldve gave me the clue that fuel pump was good. Those connections on the fuel injectors are very delicated and can snap rather easily. I talked to a fuel injector guy and he was telling me that the #1 reason why fuel injectors fail is because of broken connections. Bought fuel injectors from www.fuelinjectorconnection.com for $79.95 instead of $174 from the dealership just fyi. Still pricey but my boat runs really good now. Thanks and thought I would share.
