I have a 2009 Z1 with an alpha z tower. When removing the board racks, the bolt on the starboard side was hard to turn all of the way out. I knew this was not a good sign. Sure enough. We removed the bolt and the threads are destroyed. I ran a tap in the bolt hole to chase the threads, but they still look bad. Has anyone used a helicoil to repair the threads on an alpha z tower? I'm upgrading to samson board racks, and I definitely don't want it to fall off. And advice would help.
