I live on lake Sammamish, we have tons of milfoil here. My boat doesn't have a sea strainer and all my friends do on theirs. They have to empty their strainer with milfoil twice a week sometimes.
Anyway, I don't have one so I think I have been sucking up a bunch of milfoil and it's clogged somewhere in my water intake lines. The boat runs cool at idle and low throttle, but when I'm towing riders it was spiking to 190 yesterday and had a weird almost floral burning smell sometimes, no alarm warning though.
Impeller was just serviced at start of this year, so don't think it's that.
Anyone know what hoses to unhook or how to check to see if there is blockage in the water cooling hoses?
I have a PCM EX343.
Thanks!
