X2, we didn't entirely buy into it and thought it was too expensive - bought it any way, but if we were to do it all over again...this is a must have. We use it every time we have surf boards with. It appears it is catching on, there are a few Nautique owners starting to sew in pockets and Centurion is adding this to their biminis for 2015 as well. Now a Z5 cargo rack above the tower would be fantastic.

We are in North Carolina and keep our 2014 Z3 on a lift. As such, we didn't purchase a trailer for the boat. Our dealer is on our lake and said if it needs to come out of the water for service, he will provide the trailer.
We have the Indmar 350 with the stock prop and surf ballast. The only time we have had an issue is when the ballast tanks are full, we have 5 adults on the boat and we are trying to pull a 250lb wakeboarder. We get to 13mph quickly, but going from 13-22mph seems to take forever. Absolutely no problem with the same setup but pulling a 160lb wakeboarder out of the water.
We opted for the surf bimini, bimini extension, dual battery, battery charger, docking lights, under transom lights, Wet Sounds tower of power, Zcline captain's chair and the convex VX. Haven't regretted any of the upgrades. We also haven't had any issues that would require service.....45 hours on the boat so far......

I'll be interested to see how the warranty and service goes from the dealer from here on out. I've heard really good things about Eagle Marine in Fort Worth.

I have a 2014 Z3 with the 350 pro ballast with/MLA sac and the Acme 1235 prop. I have had full ballast with 11 adults in the boat and have had NO problems getting anyone up surfing. It has so much torque and pulls great. The only time I have thought of the bigger engine is for more cruising speed for crossing the lake. We primarily surf and I know I would get more speed with a different prop but these boats are tractors not race cars so I'll stick with the torque. Saved me some cash so I think it was worth it. We got the surf Bimini factory racks and extra cleats. I also think the Poseidon mat is a must have.

The Z3 will out surf a san230. The wake is much more useable. The freeboard is also much greater than the SAN230.

I have been in lots of brands and many of them that use the Teleflex cables click. The only one that never clicked was actually my 24V. The steering was so effortless and smooth.

Begone, My port ballast also takes much longer to fill. Over 50% just pours out the vent and never makes the bag. Starboard side fills fine. I think the hose has to be cut as if you raise the line up further it stops it from going out the boat. Your anchor light should turn off after 15 minutes or so. Can warning is really nothing to be worried about.

What kind of top end does the z3 have with the 1235 prop?

Don't hate me for asking but how is the slalom wake behind a z3? reason I ask is i'm looking at updating from my 22ve and know I will obviously have more wake but can anyone that has experienced the slalom wake give me an idea?

Is the 1 underwater transom light enough or should I order 2?

How long does it take to fill the ballast on the new Z3? I currently have to wait around 10 min which isn't bad but wouldn't mind seeing a quicker change from sides.

Preference on the Poseidon floor, non skid or the snap out carpet as far as heat tolerance, ease of cleaning, and feel to feet?

Stereo options: Is the tower of power the way to go with the rev10 and prewire for the tower led lights, or should I save and install later on?

Has anyone ordered with the tower camera or is it a thing from the past as the gopros are amazing and easy to use?

I hope these questions are ones that others looking to upgrade are asking as these boats are huge expenses.

The Poseidon flooring is fantastic. It is suprisingly soft on the feet, dries fast and any sand pretty much works its way through. It is lightweight and easy to remove if you want. On our 2013, the Poseidon option included a SeaDek type material below it (not sure if it was supposed to or not). This provide a nice option as you can remove the mat and still have a non skid flooring that isn't too bad on the feet either. That and the heater are 2 things that keep my wife happy with the boat - the rest she could almost care less about.

JLG, I have been in boats with snap out, and with poseidon. No question, I would prefer the Poseidon.

Bill's is new to Lake Gaston, but has a dealership in Portsmouth, VA that has been around for quite a while. Bill is a top notch guy. A pleasure to do business with.

I would say 2 underwater lights. My 2013 was on the dealer lot and they had ordered it with just the basic stereo which is a head unit and 4 inboat wetsounds plus the transom remote. I am glad it came this way as it appears everyone changes the sub and upgrades the amps and tower anyway so why not have a reputable shop do the install. I went with 3 arc audio amps, an arc audio 12" sub, an arc audio eq and 4 ICON 8's on the tower and could not be happier with the sound. Make it your own, the stock 10'" free air sub sounds terrible from what everyone states on here. I also have the snap out carpet which is a huge upgrade from the 24V glue in that I had previously. Pro ballast fill is about 7 - 8 minutes. You can still ski with the 1235 prop.
A man can only be beaten 2 ways - give up or die!

All good questions, I have never slalom skied behind my boat, but with the 1235 I can cruise at 35 mph at about 4500-5000rpms. Top speed isn't much more than that. Go with 2 underwater lights, world of difference. It does take about 10 min to fill our boat with the larger sacs in the rear, but to switch sides you can get the Wakemakers transfer pump installed, cuts the fill time in half. I would say no to the poseidon floor and have the thick sea deck installed. I like the faux wood look. That will run you under a grand if you install it yourself. Tower of power for sure with Rev 10s upgrades wet sound amp to the SD2. The cost difference in a couple hundred bucks. Out dealer just let us pay the difference in price for upgraded audio. I would not go with the tower lights, you only get 3 colors and they are pricey upgrade. I went with the RGB wetsound light rings. You can choose from about 15 colors and you get a remote. I think that ended up being cheaper that doing the tower lights. No tower camera, just a GoPro. Hope this helps

Thanks for the replies so far guys I am really leaning towards the Poseidon floor and the tower of power setup and the replies have definitely persuaded me. I have the sd amps I will be removing from my old boat if I do upgrade so will have nice amps to power the setup.

I kinda thought the tower camera was a waste of money. it would be nice if it were a lil cheaper and could control more with it.

                                2 underwater lights it is!!
