Tig Boats Introduces The 2004 24V And Refines The 22V

    PRESS RELEASE:

    TIGɒS 24V
Tig Boats, Inc. has introduced the worlds largest V-drive watersport-specific towboatthe 2004 Tig 24V.

Replacing the 2003 Tig 23V model, the new 24V is 23 feet 10 inches long and has a beam of 102 inches. Carrying up to 12 passengers, the 24V interior is plush, deep and has amenities such as contoured bow backrest cushions, cockpit table, 40 can fully-insulated cooler, walk though bi-fold windscreen door and a dockside entry step with inset non-skid decking. The 24V is available in both Limited and Riders Edition styling packages.

The Tig 24V is designed for large-lake boating families who want exceptional watersport performance. This model delivers a smooth and quiet ride due to its 30 degree entry V design, 17 degree dead rise and new LifePlus Engineering. Tigs Life Plus Engineering has re-designed the internal foundation and created the LifePlus Core stringer system and added TAPS as an option to increase wake size and shape variability and versatility. As with all Tig models, the 24V is covered by Tigs LifePlus Replacement Warranty.
    Specifications:
Model: 24V Length: 23 10 Beam: 102 Weight: 4220 lbs. Fuel Capacity: 47 gallons Seating Capacity: 12 passengers MSRP: $46,600

    TIGɒS 22V
The new 2004 Tig 22V Riders Edition and 22V Limited Edition are equipped with the new LifePlus Core stringer system, TAPS and the LifePlus Replacement Warranty. As Tigs most popular model, the 22V represents a superior level of performance, luxury and watersport versatility.

The Tig 22V Riders Edition is loaded with rider-specific features, bold styling and graphics and is engineered to deliver the largest boarding wakes on the water. The 22V Limited shares this phenomenal wakeboarding performance with the understated elegance of the Tig Limited line.
Both lines are 21 feet 8 inches long and 102 inches wide, while comfortably seating 10 passengers. New features include TAPS (optional), a gray cloud dash, silver faced Faria gauges, a new Dino steering wheel, leather texture interior, tower, drivers seat and re-designed Riders graphics.

As the roomiest 22s on the market, both models feature a spacious interior. The higher freeboard and deep bow keeps kids and adults safe and dry even in rough water. The spacious bow area features comfortable contoured backrests that lift for easy access to under-dash storage areas. The huge, insulated cooler keeps beverages cold all day, and passengers have plenty of oversize drink holders conveniently located throughout the boat.

As with all Tig models, the 22V comes with the new LifePlus Core stringer matrix. This is a patented composite grid stringer system that is three times stronger than the traditional two stringer construction found in most inboards. TAPS is a re-engineered version of Tigs Adjustable Performance System (TAPS) and offers Tig owners the option of greater wake variability and versatility, while enhancing ride and safety with the push of a button. To top it off, the 22V is covered by Tiges LifePlus Replacement Warranty, the strongest and longest warranty for watersport performance towboats.

My buddy had a 2003 22v riders edition. I also saw 2-3 2003 24v when I was shopping. I'm guessing they sold both in 2003 This thread is hilarious. You know it's a 24v by having only one captains chair and no spray pockets on the rear of the boat

Spray pockets are tell tale signs of the 21v and the 23v. I have seen one, and only one, 2003 23v that had the 23v hull and the 24v style interior (only the captains bucket).

              There was a 22v and a 24v in 2003. 22v came first then the 24v.

2003 was the first year for the hull redesign. The 22v was released first with the Penske Xtreme stringers and taps 2. The 24v was more like a 2003.5 release as there were some 23v that year.

So does that mean all 22v and 24V boats came with the composite stringers and Taps2??

I believe that is the case. The 22 and 24 were all new boats.

Yes. All the 24v and 22v mondels will have the new hull design for the TAPS 2 (convex V hull) with the Penske Xtreme stringers which IMO are the best stringers out there. Wished they still used them.

Well, here's my new-to-me 2003 24V, so the 2003's are not Big Foot; they are out there. First day on the lake today with it, then right back to the dealer for some of the upgrades and fixes we agreed to. Was a lot of fun...but I have a lot to learn.

Is that a "Penske" sticker in the window? What is the 4th to last Letter in the HIN? (this will indicate the month it was manufactured).

                            Nice looking boat btw

In the window is a "Proudly Made in the USA" sticker...something like that (it's back at the dealer, so I can't check). And it looks like it was certified in April of 03 (last four digits in HIN are 'D303'). Does this help with the mystery?

And, thanks. We're looking forward to enjoying it.

2003 would still have XL construction.
