    bogging issues

I have a 1998 tige pre 2200v that is having a bogging issue, it will not just take off. but if you throttle only and give it some gas and then take off it will go good for a bit, big pain trying to wakeboard ands ski. I just put the boat in last weekend and been running if for a few hours? I have seafoam in the gas, not sure what else it could be, it got a new fuel filter with it was winterized.

My first thought would be what you mentioned. The fuel. Did you add fresh fuel to what was in the tank or run what was in there?

where I got it winterized said to have a little gas in it a possible, maybe had 1/4 tank. I filled it up with fresh fuel last Saturday and added seafoam.

Adding the Seafoam shouldn't hurt as such , but it's also a cleaner and I wonder if it's dislodged some contaminates and plugged the line a little , but what about the spark plugs ?? When were they last checked or changed ??

Could you describe the specific symptoms a little clearer? Does it stumble or just not speed up? Does it hesitate and then pick up speed? Does the engine backfire and snap or pop? Does the exhaust smell rich or like raw gas? Is the motor fuel injected or carbureted?

carb motor, I do smell some gas, no snapping or popping..... doesn't stumble just won't speed up right way, takes a long time to go. If you do throttle only it runs like a champ, but got to pull a skier or tuber out it just won't take off.

Acceleration pump circuit ?? Different carbs have A circuit that transitions from idle to power, and it shoots in a shot of fuel in between , which carb do you have ? A pic please

i did clean that filter, that could be the issue. Going to take it out in a little bit.

Mine was acting up a few weeks ago - one time it would accelerate and later it wouldn't - advice from Bill/Mike at wws in Denver - change the Potentiometer - 200.00 fix and all good - did run some sea foam through it too - now running smooth - not sure if yours has a Potentiometer as I had never heard of it but definitely had a bogging, limping action as it was going out.

Good eye chp , sometimes when viewing on a phone , you don't see the full pic , , like Brian said it could be the feedback pot , that sends the throttle plate position back to the ecm , but hard to tell , could be a sensor , normally you would go through a set of trouble shooting steps such as fuel rail pressures etc , I am also wondering about the fuel pressure regulator
