Nothing special about Tige. Most boats, especially pleasure boats, by coast guard regulation, must be able to float even when fully occupied. That floating will be level with the surface of the water but the boat will not fully sink. This has been required for at least 20 years in new boat construction. Most of the flotation is in the spaces between the floor and the bottom of the hull and includes the gas tank.Ray Thompson

The older 2000slm/2002fslm did have floatation but, when they would swamp the center of gravity would invert and the boat would roll over at the slightest touch. My brothers 2002fslm swamped at Lake Powell back in 95'. We were very lucky it stayed up-right. I had installed a 2000gph bilge pump just days before and we used it to drain the boat. Pulled the spark plugs, cleared the cylinders, reinstalled the spark plugs and were riding in 45 minutes. 10 years later and the boat is still running great.Greg Denton

I know the guy who salvaged that boat and resold it. There was really not that much wrong. just missing some upholstry and the bimini was destroyed. Fresh water really doesn't hurt much.Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. THAT'S relativity. That was it. It turned out better than new. My partner and I redesigned the rear hatch so it would not blow open while towing down the road.
I used to work at Tige Watersports. That is how I knew the guy that owned it, the guy who sunk it, the guy who bought it, and the guy who repaired it. I almost bought it but I was already restoring 2 other boats. My Tige and a Reinell that burned.Greg Denton

I hang at three boards and I cannot think of anyone that knows more about boats than you man!
Tige has got to be the official tow boat of Parker and Havi and north has some to.
Plus you can work on others as well.

Alot of people think it is such a great way to make a living, being able to work in a industry that is your hobby/passion. But let me tell you, it SUCKS! You don't have time to enjoy the water yourself. Ask any boat mechanic and he will tell you that all we do is work when the weather is nice. When we are not fixing boats we are thinking about how to fix a problem with one at the shop. And if that's not bad enough, I would run into customers while I was on vacation and they would complain to me about problems with their boat.
One time I was at Bass Lake (330 miles away) on a kayak and I hear my name being yelled, I try to ignore them but they just keep yelling, it turns out to be a customer that says their throttle handle is a little too stiff and wanted me to fix it. You know, pull the tools out of my a#* and take care of it right there. Unbelievable!
So, I can now enjoy the sport once again. Been doing it since I was born and love it with all my heart.Greg Denton
