2014 Z3 with 350 motor, Engine running badly and stalling at idle, horn sounding?

Any Ideas what could be going on?

20 hours, motor temp was at 155 on the gauge.

I loaded it up on the trailer and its ready to head to the dealer in the morning, problem appeared after the service department closed for the night.

I hope they can jump right on it, weather is finally looking good for this weekend here in Michigan.

after towing it in it would restart but it is not running very smooth and will stall after its in gear.

20 hours from this season or last? My first guess is maybe bad gas?

It really could be a number of things. Get it to the dealer and see what they can find. I know someone else said something about O2 sensors on the top of the CAT manifolds. Wires rubbed thru on the engine hatch cover. Take a look at those.

That's an indmar engine or pcm ??
Sounds like something is restricting the fuel flow , could it be a plugged fuel filter ??? O2 sensors are normally bypassed when the engine is cold and only kick in when the engine is warmer, but it could also be a faulty temp sensor etc . Is it giving you a code or light on the engine monitor ?

Horn, like "honk honk" horn? Or engine alarm?

My son was out on it, mostly idling around.
Yes motor warm, I did not hear the horn myself though.
                  Continuous sound I was told

Okay then it could be the issue with the 02 sensor

My dealer stopped by my dock a couple weeks ago. Said he had received a notice from Tige regarding the fuel cooler. Apparently some of the early 2014 boats had an issue. My boat did not have the fuel cooler with the issue, but yours might have.

When you spend $90,000 on a new boat what is a reasonable expectation for having to wait for service to check out the boat?
If it's not back and running before the holiday weekend I will have a total meltdown!!

Tomp, is the dealer you purchased the boat from also the one that is doing the service?

I had a similar issue around 18 hours at the end of the last season. I have a 14 Z3 with the 415 motor and it took the dealer a while to figure it out. It ended up being incorrect wiring for the heat exchangers (I believe that's what they were called). Apparently when they switched from PCM to Indmar some wiring had to be changed over to work properly. Might want to have your dealer look into this as being the culprit. If you need more info I can PM my dealer/service info in case yours would want to contact mine so they don't have to reinvent a solution. That's also if the 350 has a similar cooling system setup as the 415. Good luck and hope they correct it quickly.

That's not the same issue as the 02 sensors for sure. They would not send the boat into any kind of stall or anything. It would simply be tripping your engine status light and you'd get a beeping noise.

It sounds more like a bigger problem. Definitely something you want to get looked at by the service dept. These 2014's seem to be riddled with problems. #ShouldHaveBoughtANatique

I've got a 2014 Z3 and I pray every time I get on the water that I don't have another issue.
