Anyone installed their own bimini on Alpha Z?

As it says. My bimini I ordered has now come in and is ready to be picked up or have the dealer install. I'm waiting to hear what they may charge to have it installed currently. I was somewhat under the impression or assumed I guess that after the ridiculous amount of money they want for it that the install would be part of it. Apparently not so. I can't see it being overly difficult but I figured I would get some feedback.

Does not look that hard but I would ask if they will warranty it if you install it.

Are the quick release mounting points on the tower already installed?

You will have to drill 8 holes in the tower. Lights have to be removed. 4 of those holes need to be tapped for threads. Its not hard, but its not easy either.

@ Ewok…no they are not unless the boat was ordered with a bimini.

I installed the Bimini on my RZR last year and it was not bad, lots of researching and planning where the two mounting points need to be installed then maybe 20 minutes to drill and install.

It shouldn't be all that bad. I took mine out of the box, and in was inside out and backwards! Took a bit of time redoing everything on a dock in 110 degree heat! We finally got it and everything went smooth after that, but the hardware was already on the tower.

Thanks guys. I would have to install the mounts as there isn't anything existing. I may just break down and pay. My time is worth more.
