Stereo only plays right channel with bluetooth

Thought something was wired wrong but looks to be only when playing music through bluetooth. Normal radio works fine and cd. Trying to play mp3 through bluetooth and only plays mono through left speakers in boat (speakers were wired backwards, left is right and right is left channel)

Any ideas why this would be. Our boat last year did not do this. Have tried multiple devices.

Sounds like either one RCA is pulled lose or the 3.5 is not fully seated. Which, depends on what the BT uses to interface with the head-unit.

Not sure I follow mike. Won't the bt be hardwired to the head unit as in the cd player? Or is there an input running from the viper to the head unit?

I do not know what BT unit tige uses, but im 100% sure there is no audio interface between the head-unit and Viper, just data for the display and commands. So, the BT receiver has to have a means to connect its audio output to an audio input on the head-unit. I know the Medallion BT (who makes the Medallion Viper for Tige) system offered in Malibu boats, connects to the Rockford Fosgate Black Box unit's AUX inputs. It would not surprise me one bit, if Tige is using that same BT.

Yes you are right. Just pulled harness apart on back of head unit. Aux1 if I reverse the cables the other speakers work. Just need to find out where the bt receiver is or what it even looks like.

Found it under the dash. Thanks for the direction. It's a faulty rca splitter.

Can you post a pic of it possibly. Sounds like its the same Medallion one Bu uses. Its Y'd with the 3.5 jack in the glove box.

Sounds like it is the same as the malibu version. The line in and medallion connect to each other through a three way RCA cable that connects to the AUX1 on the head unit.
