    Just some random questions...

Hey all, so pulled my boat out a couple days ago and didnt have the smoothest run. Things were going well until the fam and I were ready to find a nice spot on the lake to have lunch, usually we pull by a shore, throw out an anchor swing the back up to face the sand and that way everyone can hop on and off the boat with ease... however this time I forgot I pulled out my anchor when I cleaned the boat out the last time we went and forgot to put it back in. So After taking a quick swim to the shore and seeing that the shore line was all a very nice soft sand with very small pebbles I decided to pull the boat up to the sand...little did I know this would be a HUGE mistake considering I have the black gel underneath my 2013 Z!. Pulled the boat out at the end of the day and the entire bottom is SCRATCHED! I tried to buff them out and nothing its doomed....Am I the only one who made this mistake? any thing out there that you all have found to minimize the scratches?

Following making that mistake, towards the end of the day the lake got really windy and as I was pulling up the boat onto the trailer when a gust of wind had me bouncing along my guide post on the trailer. Ofcourse they totally damaged both sides of my graphics that say Z1 with that line thing.... I replaced the guid post form the old wood/carpted ones to the foam round ones...but now curious if anyone has pics of their boats that have that part of their graphic removed? or all their graphics? Thinking about taking mine off just want an idea of what itll look like photoshop doesnt do much justice....

Has anyone purchased factory graphics from their dealer? price?

all info/pics would be great! Thanks!

This is exactly why , somethings kinda piss you off , you pay good money for a boat , and the graphics are taped on , why can't they be laid in with the gel coat , ? I know it's cost , but these boats are expensive !!!

Sorry bout your bad luck . You will most likely have to get gel coat repaired from a professional. There was one time I loaded my boat and didn't realize my trailer board fell off and I put a nice gash in the gel coat. It's been 4-5 years ago now but it cost in the neighborhood of 7-8 hundred.

I have a scratch in my graphic sticker that I can't get out. Got a little cozy with a dock that had white vinyl dock bumpers built in and it left a nice white streak down the side of the boat. It came off the gelcoat easily with some light compound but it's on the sticker for good. I do prefer the sticker though, incase the graphics go out of style, like the flame sangers. I'm waiting for the stickers to eventually fall off then I'll either order newer style ones or have some custom graphics make or maybe a partial wrap or just go naked. I like having the choice without it being permanent in the gelcoat, but that's just me.

You do have a point Ewok !! , I've just been slowly peeling mine off , thank goodness my boat does not sit in the sun , when I am not boating ...or else they would be slightly permanent 😱

I've never beached my boat or ever dock it but if wer close to the beach I drop everyone off and anchor it out, I have a white hull but still as previously stated there spendy toys to have.

Thanks all for the replies. I guess the scratches on the gel arent bad enough yet for me to fork over several hundred dollars... i mean especially considering that part of the boat sits underwater most of the time anyways it was just a bummer. Truth is these boats are so expensive like you all said that every small scratch, ding, etc is very painful! I remember before I got my new tige I had an older I/O its like having a used car, small scratch here small scratch there you shake it off in 5 min. With these new boats a small scratch and you lose sleep at night! But like you all said its a part of the hobby, guess Ill just suck up the graphic scratches for now until they bother me enough to either rip them off or replace them!
