    Impeller Fipping Rotation

On my 2100v that Ive had for 1 month Ive had to take off the impeller housing after my engine not starting due to impeller not spinning. After taking everything apart Ive noticed my impeller splines going the wrong way. After taking it out and placing it correctly the problem is fixed. Im wondering what may be causing this issue and if anyone else has ever had this problem. Pretty much the pulley locks up which caused the engine to not start unless i give it gas then hear the belt screeching. Any ideas? Everything is the correct item for the engine.

Have you had problems starting the engine? When I had that boat, I had an ignition problem, etc. But It would back fire, but not start which caused the crank to spin backward. That caused my impeller fins to bend the wrong way and get stuck.

Yes Merc Engine. Its the 350. As far as ignition problems I havent had any. No backfiring or anything like that. It happened when I first took the boat home. I cranked the engine just to see if it would start and instantly turned it off then the second time same kind of deal. Cranked the engine it started then i instantly shut it off. After that wouldnt start. I loosen the belt and its obvious impeller pulley housing wont turn by hand. Ive gotten good at taking off the impeller. Can take it off and take it apart and put back in within 30min. Anyways hasnt happened on the water but im scared it might.
