I've got a 2012 RZR and the right rear ballast drain pump is not working. All of the other intake pumps are working and so are all of the other drain pumps. Of course, it is one of the pumps that's under floor in the back for the hard tanks. I tried swapping out the fuses with no luck. I also tried the manual empty ballast switch, which worked to turn on all of the other ballast drain pumps, just not this one. So, I am guessing it is the pump itself.
I've got a family vacation at the lake that starts this weekend, with a ton of people at the lake house. So, this is the one week of the summer I really need the boat to be working right. My Tige dealer is backed up and can't get to it before the weekend. I've called several other dealers and everyone is backed up.
So, I am now thinking I might have to tackle this myself. I'm looking for any tips on this project. What ballast pump I need to buy? One guy I called sad it was likely just the insert to the ballast pump that needed replacing. Does that sound right? And, if so, what is that insert?
Finally, I understand it can be a bear to get to the pump in the back. If you guys have tips on that, I'd appreciate it. Thanks in advance!
