Dom – I greatly appreciate your feedback/input along with everyone else that contributes to not only this post but to all the others. I honestly didn’t know you were a dealer and the fact that you are, your input actually means a little more as you would generally have more “inside” knowledge not only about the Tige brand but about others as you have to compete with the local dealers and appear to service them. You are correct, Tige does seem to listen to their customers and value them, they are family owned. Our family own a small manufacturing business, and I wish we had more dealers like you that provided suggestions for improvement as this is one of the best ways to improve our product. For the record, I never stated that Nautique was a better quality build boat…all in all many of the components that are on all of these boats are sourced from similar or the same manufacturers (look at the hoses, engines, ballast pumps…I would guess vinyl, possibly wiring and the list goes on. I honestly have not seen a finer looking interior – in my opinion – than the 2013 Z Series, the quilt like stitch pattern and the woven vinyl look great and seem to hold up well…but they have gotten away from that. Like any purchase, it comes down to personal preference. At this time, we are doing our research and giving consideration to a trade, but as mentioned before, it would really have to provide some features, simplicity, options that are unique to get our Z1 away from us. We like the idea of the storage of the ASR but honestly, I think the Z3 is a better boat for our family, but isn’t different enough to spend extra money to trade. I just wish Tige would have built up the Z3 hull, got the ballast underneath (saving storage for storage) and possible stole a few seating ideas from Nautique (better/more rear facing options). That aside, I am not in love with TT but that is about the only real bitch I have about the boat. We have had a lot less problems than other 2013 owners, based on posts hear. The biggest issue for us was actually from Boatmate and that could have been a communication issue between the companies as well. So, in closing – I am not beating up Tige – they just don’t have anything in their line that is of interest to me that I don’t already have. Sometimes its just fun to research and dream a little. That being stated, it does seem that the G23s have the interest of a lot of Tige owners, which also tells me that they are not overly impressed with something or another about the ASR. Maybe Tige will make some changes to the ASR in the next few years after reading some of the posts on TO.

@ DOM,
I think it is great that you are willing to be a voice to Tige and both communicate and suggest owners idea's.
Question? Have you shown them this thread? Are they aware current owners are looking to other manufactures because Tige seems slow to address or create their own Surf system, under belly ballast, updated TT control ect ext? Do they care? Or are they happy and content with the current product line as is? Maybe if we knew what their objective or timeline is that would help ease the pain or give us a direction once and for all. If their position is to use the VX and lean the boat, maybe that is as good as it gets in Tige?
I heard the Dealer meeting is coming up in a few weeks to showcase the changes for 2015, are you attending and can you comunitace this request to them?
I will be a broken record again, I love Tige and I want nothing more then to own my 4th but it has to have have have the boxes checked on my want list.
Thanks in advanceTige owner since 2006

Ive dealt in the high performence cars for years and there have been just about everything possible built for engine and chassis mods but one thing you learn is KISS ( keep it simple stupid ) , when it comes to the current form of how to build a surf wake there has been a lot of changes, none of them thus far are a bad thing however there are always sacrifices to certain designs , as to CC nss or Malibus surf gait they do have some sacrifices , both create some steering issues or drag on thw hull , take a good look at surf gait you have 2 rudders hanging off the back of the boat , if they redirrect wake convergence what also is redirrected , answer the boat so you will have to compensate at your helm, the same holds true of CC nss except you now add more drag for steering and fuel consumption, so if this is what you think is needed to me I dont see it worth the side effects no matter how minor, and as I said earlyer I guess the owners of the CC and Bus with these systems dont either because there all out there every weekend weighted to one side with these systems!

Agreed with Dom. The "surf systems" are only good for novice riders. If you want a good wake out of any boat you need list. I can make a better wake out of a 23lsv bu listed than I can with the gate. Have not tried the NSS yet. I set boats up all summer for surfing for folks and list always wins. When I am coaching though, it would be nice to have gates for quick switch when pro size wakes are not needed. That is the only time I see good use for it.
Peoples issues with the tige touch will be addressed, I put money on it!
I also do agree with peoples comments on the ASR. Its a beautiful boat, super deep, lots of storage and no ballast to take up space where needed. Those are the things I like. However I do feel it was a bit rushed to market. The seats are not as comfortable as the Z3 I feel, there is no windscreen (cooler cover does not count), no cool seating options, not a fan of garbage can under floor, wish it had the back rest for bench behind drivers seat like on Z3, the rear bench seat is awkward how it pops out and there is a step which does not make sense as the step is so low even at 6'3" it is a reach to climb (should have reversible seating). I do not feel that the ASR can command the price that it does when it lacks so much and the Z3 is much better equipped and makes more sense from a boat aspect. Now I understand the the ASR wake is huge which is key, but having a boat worth the money is more key. Now if the the ASR was priced the same as the z3, I probably would look the other way at these items.
Don't get me wrong, I really like the ASR but it just better pack some value in order to spend more money on it. For now I will stick with my Z3 which works.2016 Tige Z3, 2014 Tige Z3

So if Tige is holding firm with no surf system to cater to the hardcore 5%, they do so at their peril. Nautique, Malibu, Mastercraft, Axis, Supra, Moomba, Centurion, and (in about 3 weeks?) MB all have surf systems. Tige will be standing with sanger, epic and supreme in the "we don't need it" camp. Not a great position to be in the market IMHO."I think I am pretty smart for an idiot"

i applaud Tige for not getting in line behind the Pied Piper, so to speak. Im not sure if these mechanical wake enhancing devices are hear to stay or not. I do not think they are the future of wake surfing. All these systems are is a markteting ploy to make up for a hull that does not naturally surf well and gets people to focus on the gadgetry.
Tige does have a surf system and it is the VX which is the only system that actually enhances the wake. Its the only system that makes a wake longer. Other than that good old fashioned ballast that can be used by novice all the way up to pros is pretty easy to use. The other surf systems pretty much stop after Novice when people want a taller, longer wake... They you are back to good old fashioned ballast.2016 Tige Z3, 2014 Tige Z3

Yeah I guess I haven't been paying attention for the last couple of years. I thought the VX was developed and marketed as a surf wave enhancement device. And if you use it in conjunction with Taps and ballast you should have the makings of a surf system..."Failing to prepare is preparing to fail" John Wooden- Rest in Peace

I think the desire to not drive listed or the opportunity to switch surf sides in under a couple seconds is more than a marketing ploy.
An example of a marketing ploy would be saying something like "Our boats don't need ballast." I am not saying ConvexV hull is a marketing ploy, I just saying the statement is.
