Anyone have problem with RZ2 nose dipping due to low profile?

An inexperienced and non-attentive driver will frequently dip the bow of an RZ2 . A moderately experienced driver (ahem... my wife) will occasionally dip the bow .
While I am not the most experienced driver around, I have dipped the RZ2 bow one time since 2009 -- and that was an extraordinary circumstance with a big wave and people moving around in the boat (despite my vocals objections) that prevented me from throttling up.
(And welcome to TO viv!)

Does anyone know why they have kept the "drop nose" style that was common on the old covered bow boats? Seems like they could keep the nose level like the I/O boats. This would help minimize dunking some.

It helps to see over the bow when the boat is on plane. I had to stand with one knee on the seat in my Bayliner to see over the bow when getting up on plane. With a sacked out vdrive pulling a wakeboarder it worse, a skier, it's harder to see over the bow, so they slope them down like that. Well, that's according to boat test.com anyhow.Last edited by Ewok; 06-12-2014, 12:08 AM.2009 RZ2, PCM 343, MLA Surf Ballast, Premium Sound.

So what are guys doing that works best? Ive read put it in reverse when surfer falls, turn into wave side, turn away from wave side and everything in between.2009 RZ2, PCM 343, MLA Surf Ballast, Premium Sound.

Not as fun for the little ones they like the waves.
