When you Anchor what do you tie to on your boat?

Do you use the bow eye hook or do you tie to a cleat?

I use the bow eye hook but what a pain to reach over and tie to!

    Is there a better way?

Perhaps a carabiner to snap on to the hook?

I usually tie it to the rail in the front. I'd only use the bow eye if I knew that my boat would be tied to an anchor during a bad storm.

My buoy has a carabiniere on the end of it. I just lean over the bow and clip it on the bow eye hook.

I use the cleats, the back tie downs, the front with a beaner, just depends on the situation.

I have the anchor buddy. It's awesome. It stretches, so you can drop anchor, and then back into shore. Jump off, and it pulls the boat back away from shore. Then tie the back off to a stake. Anyway, it has a quick snap on the end, that I just connect to the bow eye, and then attatch a bouy to. That way, when I take a run, I just through it in the water. Come back, and the anchor is already set.
