I've lost one of the screw in pins in the front of the tower. Where can I order a new one?

I haven't seen one specifically during my online browsing....

You could try Fastenal - they usually carry all kinds of fasteners.

I had to buy one a couple years ago. Chp gave me the link. I'll try to find where I bought it

Here it is. Quicker than i thought.
If you go to Mcmaster-Carr and search for 5580k28 it will give you the two inch bolt with handle. As far as I can tell there is not a 1.75 inch bolt available so you will have to cut it down. I have not ordered this yet but according to chpthril these are the correct specs.

I just went to the site and I have those. I'm missing g the small pin that is threaded on the head that goes into the tower horizontally.

Sorry I missed this. For some reason my notifications got turned off. Unfortunately I can't help you with that one.

Here is a pic of what I ended up doing. It's been a one man job. I take it up and down every trip.

Question for Lazer and/or MRMoffat1 (or anyone else for that matter).... have you all considered hauling the boat with the tower down? i made a support similair to the ones Ive seen in this thread and always wondered if it would be ok to haul the boat like that to maybe reduce the drag a alittle going down the road?

And while on the subject of that style of tower... mine rattles like crazy going across the water! i have made sure all joints are nice and snug, doesnt seem to help. Any advice on something like that?

I would not be comfortable traveling with mine. I don't think it's strong enough. Maybe others have one that is also I think you would need it held down so it couldn't bounce. Unfortunately mine rattles like crazy too. I'm curios if others have a solution to that as well.

Lazer, i think i have the exact same speaker setup up as you do on the tower. with as much as that tower moves mine has actually developed a few little cracks. You know the bar that everyone uses to support the tower in the down position, well where that is welded to the rest of the tower.... mine has started cracking right along side the weld. Have you had issues with that?

That has not happened to mine. Might have to decrease the weight up there.

I just had to tear mine down and weld last week due to speaker weight and hauling down the road. I only have 2 pair of rev8 on it. These towers are just not made for speakers I guess. I noticed my cracks after a long 1000 mi trip hauling it. I'm sure the fast hard shifting it does while trailering is what caused it, but wouldn't think that it would be possible to haul in the down position. I would think it would cause more stress at the swivel points and would not only crack but would bend in those areas. Would be nice to see a tower that would hold up to the weight of tower speakers!
