What do you carry in your boat???

Besides all the toys, what do you take with you on the lake??? Heading to Powell next week trying to make sure I have most of what I may need....

First Aid Kid, what do you stock yours with?

Tools, again what all do you put in there?

    TP and wipes?

Kinda drawing a blank on what else... I guess there is already a thread, but couldn't find it.

I use the locker in front of the driver as a safety locker.
It has a tool box that has any tool I need to work on the boat (Socket set, bow wrench set, screwdrivers, pliers, crimp tool, wire, tape, spare raw water impeller, hose clamps and an assortment of barbed cuplines) four orange life jackets, water proof flashlights, First aid kit (large red one from Costco) snorkel and mask incase I need to go under the boat and a spare sump pump that can plug into a cigarette lighter.
Under the dash I have my fire extinguisher and a 2-way radio that has the marine feqs.(this allows me to call the ranger if needed)
In the glove box we have a knife, and a flash light.
For toys we take 3 to 4 wakeboards, about 8 ski vest, tandon skies, and 2 or 3 tubes. (different sizes from a 4 person to a small one person tube) towels, removable table top, blankets and a box anchor.
Might have missed a few things But I love all the storage in these boats.
Tige, it's a way of life!

fortunately I have never had to open a first aid kit, but keep 2 on board just in case. have found ibuprofen to be a good addition. I also keep a $20 bill in the first aid kit just incase I ever need a tow back in from another boater. figure it'd buy a nice 12pk or a bottle for their trouble. again, never had to use it and think it's pretty safe in a tige

keep a few cylindrical wrapped tubes in the jockey box for the ladies. just in case..

Dandy points to a classic and very useful thread. (I love those two backing tips).

When I researched this a few seasons ago, I came to the conclusion that Celox powder might be a superior product over Quickclot. I have a big 30 g bag and lots of the the single use smaller packets (for smaller, non-life threatening cuts).

I bought a jumper box last week.

I looked at buying some of those big bouncer balls so that I could tie up to someone in any condition and not worry, but they are about $20 each. Tying up to someone at the dock and trying to use jumper cables can be a real bad thing if your water is as bad as ours. The no wake zone is 50 feet from the dock and some nerds think that it is a great idea to surf right there. For $79 at costco, I got a jumper box. I used it today to help some fishermen get their boat started. So I recommend if you have jumper cables, that you also have some extra protection for the boat, or get a jumper box.
                    Be excellent to one another.

As always, great tips from the regulars on the forum. A few other items we carry... they may be obvious, but I didn't see them mentioned above:

                        - maps of lakes we frequent
                        - collapsible paddle
                        - plenty of rags and wet wipes/vinyl cleaner (we have kids and relatives that are slobs!)
                        - trash bags for those days that the beer cans pile up while coving out
                        - extra tranny fluid
                        - extra fenders for when tying up with several boats
                        - umbrella (have a bimini, but when the little ones fall asleep and it's sunny, it offers extra protection when we're anchored)
                        - miniature battery-powered fan (again, we boat with lots of kids 4 and under... this helps lengthen our days on the water)
                        - extra (non-spray) sunscreen for our passengers that never prepare
                        - can koozies
                        - we keep our 12v air pump on board for tubes, etc in case they need more air

as for the items others have mentioned, x2 on the battery jumper... never used it on our boat, but have helped plenty of strangers at the boat ramp or on the water... it was only $80 and it's netted me plenty of cold beer from grateful boaters. Knife and goggles are imperative - needed them the first time I let someone other than me drive! I don't ski without Advil on board. I also keep some extra cash and a credit card on board for the tow scenario (was on someone else's broken down boat with an approaching storm on Table Rock Lake and the tow service wouldn't commit to coming out without a CC #).

                        Happy boating

I have the jumper box with the air compressor. I thought it was a gimmick but it actual works decent to check and fill air pressure on trailer and truck no matter where you are. At the house, I will use it instead of messing with the big air compressor in the garage.
