    Which is more important?

My 2002 Tige 2300V currently does not have plumbed ballast or cruise control. I'm trying to decide on whether to put money toward plumbing the ballast to avoid throwing a pump over the side or installing perfect pass cruise control. That being said, which do you think is more important and more attractive for resale value?

I have an '04 21i and considering both of these upgrades as well. Interested in what everyone else thinks, but I'm leaning towards plumbing ballast before cruise control. Nothing pains me (or my boat guests) more than pumping 1300 lbs of water in the boat one bag at a time.

I bought a 2002 23v and it had PP installed but no ballast. I would do it that way again in a heartbeat. To me and my sanity PP is way more important than auto ballast. My wife thinks so as well and that's all that really matters, right?

Good Point on the PP......my wife would probably concur

I was leaning toward perfect pass because I am more comfortable with the installation of it. I am a little less comfortable with installing plumbed ballast and drilling into the hull of the boat. However, filling up those ballast bags manually does drive me crazy.

I am going to go with PP as well.

I have both on my 2300V and I found the PP to be the better upgrade. Way less frustrating on the water. Prior to the perfect pass it was hard to find someone else proficient at driving and maintaining the speed, now just about anyone can drive.

Cruise control, if you ask me. But it depends on some of your drivers. IF they are very good at holding speed, then ballast might be a good start. But even for myself, having cruise control allows me to focus on where I am going and what the rider is doing.

Same as above. If YOU want to assure that YOU get a good pull behind your boat, this is key. It is much easier for others to get you a quality pull with cruise than with ballast. Yes, its nice to have easy ballast, but waiting on the water with family or friends...I can think of worse things to do with my afternoon. Remember, it is your boat and if your guests are put off by pumping water over the hull, they can get a boat and offer to host you for a day.

X2 to on the cruise. I think for the driver it makes the experience much more pleasant.

PP all the way. We still manually pump the ballast. Just a good time for everyone to take a water break and cool off. Works well for us. I would go crazy (as I did the first couple of years) without my cruise control.

                          Cruise control/perfect pass FTW.

Sounds like there is a consensus on Perfect Pass, so that's the path I'll take. Going with Stargazer Wake Edition, GPS controlled. Let me know if anyone thinks there is a better option.

Perfect Pass. Another pump is only $100. There are multiple 12v outlets for multiple pumps.
