    Need Help!!

I bought my 2001 tige 22i last summer, I knew she had a number of problems with her but all together she ran just fine and wakeboarded all last summer on it. I did the normal maintaince to her last year ( oil change plugs cap and rotor ect). well this year to start it off I changed the oil, fuel filter, imperller, and cerpitine belt. also had the prop balanced. im just wondering is their anything else I have to do to make her ready for the summer. should I be inspecting anything bearings ? anything along those lines?

another thing is that my speedo, depth, taps, and perfect pass doesn't work. the taps plate goes up and down but the gauge doesn't work. what can I do to start diagnosing these issues.

tranny fluid? not an every year thing, but at least take a look and check the level. The impeller is good for a while as well, but easy to check. If you started the boat and ran it out of the water without a fake a lake plunger attached.......you need a new impeller. If you have done things well, I wouldn't worry about the impeller yet.

    Diagnosing the issues.......

Speedo, probably pressure based speedo. Check the inlet tubing for junk. If it's a rotary impeller, check to see if it spins. If all else fails, buy a gps speedo and mount it to the dash. The gps based cruise control is also supposed to be great, don't know if it's compatible with a boat as old as yours. Stargazer or something like that. super spendy. More than 1k for the hardware. Otherwise, check connections, I just got my boat back from having bit of work done and they didn't plug in my speed control button..... Fuses? And so on.
The taps plate is wither hydraulic or electric. I have the hydraulic version in my 2007. There are a number of wires, one of which is the indicator wire. If I remember correctly, it's the green one. With a voltmeter, check to see if it's severed. Otherwise, start buying parts. Mine has leaked, I called bennett (hydraulic version) and they were very helpful. I'd just call bennett and ask them. The other brand is lenco if I remember correctly.

    Good luck

thanks for the reply, but yes I have checked the trans fluid. the impeller is good, I just changed it and yes I do use the plunger to start it out of water. speedo isn't pressure based and the wheel under the boat does spin.. ill have to go over fuses and everything 100% haven't done so yet. the taps system is hydraulic. it wasn't working at all last year so while I was under the dash I cant remember what exactly I did but I bypassed a wire and got the plate to go up and down, but the gauge still doesn't work..

one more question is that I recently had my prop balanced and I still get a little vibration.. when the boat was out of water I shook the drive shaft and it seemed to have little play in it, a little more than I liked. I also shook it by the trans and it seemed soild up their. not sure what it is called but the support that the driveshaft runs thru and has the prop on the other end of it seems to me like it would have a bushing or bearing in it that's a little worn. how would I go about replacing this?

Its called the strut and it does have a bushing/ bearing inside that can wear out. There are 2 ways to replace them. You can pull the shaft or some think its easier to pull the strut. I would also looking into having the engine alignment checked. That can cause a vibration and also prematurely wear out strut bearings.
