How to mount flag holder of Alph Z tower

I had a flag holder mounter on the tower of my old boat which was very convenient and was trying to figure out the best way to mount one on the Alpha Z tower. I could always drill and tap a mount but was wondering if anyone has come up with a good solution that was less permanent.

What kind of flag? Skier down or American?

I personally will never do this on my boat but a friend of mine had one installed on his alpha z on the driver side on the tower were it breaks and folds down, basically they drilled a hole and tapped it for the flag holder it turned out nice but as I previously stated it will never be on my boat.

Orange Ski flag. I fabricated a mount tonight that will work.







A have painted it black to match the tower and racks. Tomorrow I will reassemble it and take some pics

I used the $7 flags from Academy that come with the suction cup. I only had to drill and tap one hole in the rack mount as the other was already on the rack mount.

I cut up the suction cups and thru bolted them to the aluminum mount. They hold the flag tight and should work well. We will see!

Got it finished. I like how it came out! Doesn't interfere with the racks at all.

Nice job, it looks great but I just realized your in TX, you know you don't need a flag in TX right? I only got a flag when I moved from TX up to WA. All my friends from CA would freak out in TX when they asked where the flag was and I said you don't need them here.

Yeah but I have 7 kids so it is just good practice and makes momma feel better!

I get that it makes mama feel better, but just be aware, few people in TX will be looking for the flag or know what it means.

Believe it or not we see a ton of flags on lake Conroe. I guess we get a lot of out of state people on that lake.
