Okay, here is what I would suggest:

Buy 2 of the all-in-one cable that was linked previously. (same one I've got)
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Gopro-Hero3-...item257c7a8f1a

Buy a single USB extension cable:
    http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Mini-USB-Mini...9153cb5&_uhb=1

This gets all your USB cables over to the starboard side.

Then you need about a 15 foot RCA wire. Any kind will do. I'm sure I even have a bin of them.

Now for power, I put in one of these:
    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Then we just have to splice in to any USB cable to deliver the power as needed.

Lastly, a simple Y cable to connect either of the active video streams to the Tige touch.

A lot of this stuff could be found at Princess Auto or any electronics shop. It's only the GoPro cables that need to be ordered online. The power plug is also nice as it makes a clean install.

JohnnieMo....slightly confused on where you are plugging into the Blue box for video. The only spot video port I find on the blue box is already in use by the yellow plug you show in your photo. If I unplug it and put the GoPro video in, it works great but I lose all function of the Tige Touch(I only have the video screen). I'm sure I'm missing something stupid simple.....

      Thanks.

That's weird. That's where I hooked in. I'll look today when I get down to the boat. My Tigé Touch works as before plus video!

I was wrong... (I know, my wife was shocked too). It's the left most connector, closest to the back.

The grey connector in the picture. I wonder what Tigé is running through that other wire....?

Now that I think of it, the entire Tigé Touch display might be fed through that yellow wire. Kind of unusual, but that explains what you are seeing.

There should actually be two ports that work as input was there are options for Video 1 (video button) and Video 2 (DVD).

As further feedback to everyone, I said a ways back that the only way the camera would get wet is if it completely submerges..... well it does. Quite often. I had to dry out my GoPro once now. However it seems to recover. I added a bit of a gromet to help. I'd suggest mounting the camera on an arm slightly higher.

I ordered a pile of Gopro accessories off Amazon and should have new stuff to try soon.

to prevent camera going overboard, attach a safety line to the cup and tie-off at center pylon. It would be kinda easy for surf rope to snag and pop off. apologies if somebody else mentioned already-did not see.

Thanks JohnnieMo. Finally have my boat back (Taps motor seized, and bilge seized). I'm going to try and reconnect again in the AM.

I'm going to feed the video and usb power to the back, similar to yours, however I have it attached with the standard sticker mount. Seems more stable than the suction.

Has anyone tried to mount to the Alpha Z? If so, how are you running the cords?

                Thanks again Johnnie

I bought this clamp thing off Amazon to put the camera wherever I want. It seems pretty sturdy. It is also designed to attach to a stick so I can do the "off the side" shots.

If you still want it to connect through Tigé Touch just buy a 15' mini USB extension cable.

FYI, I'm running the stick on mount too. It's solid.

Johnnie, I bought the same cable u got off eBay and have a question. I understand the video portion, but am having a tough time with the power wiring. It has what they call a female servo connector. How do you transition from that to be able to plug it in? I didn't understand what you meant by using a printer cable. Can you give me the details?

                      I'm working from memory here....

Coming off the GoPro is two connectors. One is for video (plus and minus) while the other is for power (plus and minus). You need to run 5V to that power cable. The easiest way to do that is getting a USB plug.... they convert 12V to 5V. You end up using a USB cable as a result and splicing it. In my case, I used a printer cable. Take the USB end and plug it in to the USB connector you install on the boat. Then cut the wire in half and part out the + and -. Solder these on to the proper + and - leads to the GoPro cable you just bought.

Does that help? I may need to take more pictures to explain it.

I think I got you but let me clarify. So the usb plug converts the voltage down to 5 correct not the printer cable end? All I need to do is cut off the servo connector on the cable from eBay and connect a usb end and plug into the socket? I have never cut a usb cable in half I figured it had multiple wires inside.

Yes that is right. The cable is just a wire. It doesn't convert anything. There are other ways to get 5V but this is probably the easiest.

A USB cable has 4 in it.... as I recall. A power, ground, signal and likely another ground. There might be something else. Just break it out and check with a volt meter. The 5V will be easy to find.

I previously forgot the gopro has an audio input too. So one of those wires is for audio. I think it would be neat to put in a microphone away from the engine... but that's a lot of work.

Usb is 5v d+ d- gnd. No idea how gopro use them but it will likely be the inner pins as the outer are power

If you cut a usb lead up you will probably find red and black are the power and green and yellow are thinner and are data lines.
