Transom Tie Down w/ VX on RZ2

I have been using Boat Buckle tie downs on all my boats for transom tie downs. When my 2013 RZ2 finally got the correct VX brackets put on this winter and the VX installed, I am not able to get the hooks between the VX and the hull to tie down to the trailer anymore. I believe the Z series boats have the transom loops above the swim platform which allows you to pull just the strap through, however, has anyone figured out a way to sneak the buckle in between the platform and the VX on the RZ boats? The clearance is less than 1/4" I realize the boats are pretty stable on the trailers, however, I still would rather have everything tied on.

I've looked at mine several different times and havnt come up with a solution yet. I never use them anyway but if you pulled enough slack out u can fish it in behind the vx, the problem I c with that is when it's tightened down going down the road the pressure of the boat is on the vx rubbing, therefore a lot of stress on it. With that being said that's why I don't use my transom straps. My platform cover would have to be modded to make it all work as well. Just my thought, hopfully il c u out this summer stop by if u c me.

I just installed the revised brackets, and my VX sits about 3/4" from the transom, so there's no issues with getting the straps on. Maybe mine's not right though given the larger clearance than others?

Mine either. It has less than the width of that coated hook. I have tried running straps down to hook under the VX, however, everything with a hook is too thick to get through. Could maybe get it if I could find a hook half that length where just the strap had to come through the gap.

maybe try a smaller S hook - one end on the transom eye and the other through the bottom hole in the hook attached to the strap?

Tie down assists? Once they are on they should stay in place

Motorcycle handlebar tie downs will work. There about 18" long and have a loop on each end.Made of nylon like the regular tie downs.
I do all my own stunt work. hey ya'll watch dis.

Those tie down assist straps or motorcycle tie downs are exactly what I am looking for. I tried axle straps for tying cars to trailers but they have steel d-rings that wouldn't go through the transom eyes. Thanks for all the help.
