R20 VS. Mondo?

So I'm looking at new boats & I'm almost certain it will be either the R20 or Mondo. I like the color options on the R20 better but I like the interior colors better on the Mondo. My family wakeboards & wakeskates BUT I really want to get into surfing. We boat in Lake Havasu so I'm a little concerned with having a 20' boat...but that's what our budget is for. We want a brand new boat between 55-62k. FULL 3 color combo including a painted tower. I plan on doing a monster stereo so I will get a bone stock system from factory.

I want to hear some thoughts/concerns/advice that anyone has. Especially people that are in a R20 or have ridden in/behind either boat.

Spec wise they are pretty similar boats, is towing weight or storage dimensions a concern? I know you wanted to put a big stereo in whichever boat you select, with your budget, for big water riding, you are in 2009 RZ2/22ve/24ve and slightly newer Z1 territory. You can fit a bigger stereo in those bigger boats and have some storage room left over, plus the bigger boats will handle the rough water a little better on bigger lakes such as Mead and Powell. Just a thought based on your earlier posts.

agreed. new, I'd take the 5" larger beam of the mondo over the r20 but I'd buy used/new leftover to get a larger boat on havasu. safer for the little one on the way not to mention the 22-24ft boats have a tendency to throw larger surf waves than the 20ft boats.
