Anyone else bugged by the fact that the rope rubs on the bimini? I was wondering if thats because I have little dudes mostly but that can't be it.

I worry about that too, which is why I put some nice smooth shrinkwrap on the rope in that area. No more abrasion.
You can also attach it off toward the side of the tower, and depending upon placement you can completely miss the bimini altogether.

I don't have pics, but mine rubs over the top of the rearmost metal support tube in the bimini fabric. In your case that would be the "middle" tube since you have the extension. The downward force isn't huge, but it's there.

Not when wakeboarding, only when surfing. The force is greatest when the person is still down in the water due to the angle. Once they're up, it basically brushes the top. Once they let go, of course, it doesn't matter.
We've tried putting it UNDER the bimini, but then it rubs when the person is standing. That back rail is apparently in the perfect spot. A bit higher and the underrope would miss it... a bit lower and the overrope would miss it.
