I bought the boat without them. My service guy at the dealer over the winter noticed the racks were hitting speakers and got the spacers mailed to me. I never even mentioned this isssue to them. I thought that was pretty awesome!!
I think 70 bucks is a ridiculous price to charge for a dollar chunck of steel!!! It's clearly an issue they should own up to and give them to you.

Mine came with them installed. One of the bad things about them is that they get in the way of the bungie cord holder.

The stops work great with the clamping racks. Nothing hits the speakers.

I fixed my racks with some extra rubber washers and a stainless 8/32 x 1" machine screw. I think in spent $5. Works perfectly.

#2 I tried out the pole and got a lot better results.

#6 I picked up some insulation tubing for copper pipe and sized them to fit the racks. Looks okay. I prefer the boards in the racks for many reasons:
              A) the Bimini is a nuisance to put up.
              B) I have to lower the tower to clear a bridge every time I'm out. There is only 1" clearance with the tower down so the Bimini can't be there.

What number am I at now...

With my recent loading issue I had to back the trailer in deep to unload. The guide post covers floated off. I remember a horror story on this site where a guy put a gouge in his gelcoat doing this. So to prevent this I put a black zip tie inside the bottom loop and it doesn't move anymore.
