5.7 340 and love it! My dealer tried to push me towards the 6.0 pretty heavy saying the 340 would underpower the 24V. No way, it's perfect! Definately not worth the $6K upgrade he told me it was.... or was it $3K. Can't remember.

My boss has a '05 23' Malibu w/ a 340 in it. What a dog. All he does is complain about how slow it is. Hehehe.
