Raw water strainer

I think the old Merc's has a screen in the trans cooler, which was down stream of the impeller, and would catch the shredded impeller when it came apart.

I had the dealer add one to my new Zee. Cheap insurance.

Hi Iwndr. Where did they mount your sea strainer? Also, what brand did they use? I too have an '08 Z1 and last week at Powell our oil cooler filled up with junk. I would love to add a strainer. Could you send some pictures?
