I second jprett, we just spent 4 days at the lake, and we are not satisfied with speed set. We were not dropping the throttle all the way down though so hopefully that will make a difference.

I have become further disgusted with the SpeedSet after my 3 days on the river. Pulling my buddy wakeboarding, boat would not hold a constant speed, so I decided to turn it off and just drive the boat, flipped the switch and the stupid thing woud not disengage. Next Tige will get perfect pass for sure.

We have the most problems with speedset when we surf. It will not hold very well at about 10.5mph, and then when you push the slower or faster button it seems it goes up or down like 2 mph. I don't think this thing is working right. We might talk to our dealer and see what we can do about changing out speedset for PP. It has been very much a pain in the rear.

Just following up on my perfect pass install question for everyone's info.
Perfect Pass is NOT plug-and-play for 2006 like I was told by the folks at Perfect Pass!
You have to change the ECM which your dealer can order. Then you have to cut a wire on one of the ECM connectors. You have to add a wire to the other ECM connector and run it to the pp connector. Finally the connector that is under the dash has to have some wiring changes made to it also.
My dealer got the install done today after many phone calls about which wires to cut and which wires to add, and I plan to lake test it tomorrow afternoon!

We just got our speed set figured out last weekend too. It works very well once you do everything right. When we push the up or down arrows we are getting a .5 mph change, and the speed set is holding very well. Here are the steps that we used
1. Turn the cruise button ON on the dash
2. Accelerate up to speed
3. Push the speed set button
4. As soon as it starts to blink, bury the throttle
5. When the rider falls, get back up to speed and when the button blinks bury the throttle.
This worked perfectly for us last weekend.

Our experience with the Tige speed set so far has been positive. It holds well around 20 where our kids ride and once I got the hang of burying the throttle after it sets, it has worked well. Initially I didn't give it enough "head room" to work and soon learned to just push the throttle all the way forward... Akdoc has the clue on the speedset...
