    2012 RZ2 False Floor Removal

    Hey Guys,

I am starting to upgrade my ballast. I bought a 1200 lb bag from MLA for the port side.

I need to cross the vent lines and add one way valves to both sides. I was cleaning my RZ2 today and tried to half a$$ remove the false floor on the Port side but did not want to reef on it. I noticed there were two sections and could get them to lift about a 1/2 inch but could not get them to slide.

So what is the trick? If there are pics that would be great.

I did a search but couldn't find anything.

    Thanks in advance.

Are you talking about the hard tanks?

I think he is talking about the floor panel, or carpeted board above the rear hard tanks. I have never removed them, but im sure they are bolted, or screwed down.

        Correct.

I was able to lift up on the end towards the bow and it did not appear to be screwed down. There is a lip that was in the way next to the engine wall that would not allow it to move more than a 1/2" up.

Different model, but on mine that floor was in two pieces with the carpet acting as a hinge. This was not immediately obvious, but I found that I could "fold" the floor and this allowed enough clearance to lift it out.

I have not had a chance to work on the boat. Hopefully in a week or two.
