    Bimini for R20

Just bought my first tige! 2011 R20 - can't wait to get it out this summer if it ever comes up here in Canada! Only thing missing is a bimini top! Went to see a guy that makes them today and was quoted 850 for the job...is that a good price? Anyone have any advice on this matter - anything would help as I want to get this done ASAP! I look forward to some advice!!!

the dealer I talked with quoted me 1600 w/surf pockets.... so depending on quality of material etc. doesn't sounds to bad

I think they are $1200 from the factory, so $850 sounds like a good price. The factory one is strapless and if you have one made it should be as well. You don't want straps.

Where in Canada? I got a really nice one done for that price on my old boat. I'd say go for it. Act quickly as prices go up come summertime.

thanks for all of the great information guys - decided to go ahead going off some pictures to make something similar for the tower! My guy seems pretty thorough so happy so far..with the bimini top up should there be a whole for the light to go through and where the rope would attach for surfing or should it be below the bimini top...any thoughts...I can't seem to find any pictures that help me solve this question! Any advice would help he is starting to build it Monday for me!

Yes there should be a hole for the light and the rope should attach above the bimini, not below it. Post some pictures on here when it gets done. Good Luck
