Yea those boats are clean. Just if this tige was clean too. I think we have the limited package which has the full interior, it's also a SoCal boat so it has the phat tower that corona, ca tige outsourced through. Unfortunately it's a rust bucket now.
This prices are pretty high for a 13 year old boat. However, I think if we do go with a different boat, I would definetely go with a slightly newer and different model tige or a different brand.
This 2001 was great but there are a few things that we didn't like. One was the spray pockets. Also, how the rear hatches literally drain water right into the engine pulleys, and a few other small things.

That Tucson but is pretty sweet. I think all those towers are interchangeable to were I could swap the phat tower over. I like our black phat tower better than anything else in that era.
I think I'm going to go with a cleaner boat route.
Ill probably detail interior the best I can, unload a whole can of WD on the engine and sell it, for the most possible, to some shop or dealer that can repair it for cost then turn around and sell it again.
I forgot to search other craigslist fields. I was just looking in the OC area, btw, Im in Huntington Beach, so not too far from the stadium.

couple things.
I would highly doubt you are going to accomplish that list on $8k. admittedly trailer is 6k but lets call it 5. that leaves you 3k for everything else and it sounds like you are going to farm it out. ballast is a minimum of $500 for just parts depending on what you want to do. pp is a grand. closed cooling is a grand. figure $500 for taps/steering/throttle and other misc things. interior as mentioned was $500 and betting he did it all himself. factor another $500 for carpet and misc parts(and that's on the cheap). you are now at 4k plus 5k for the trailer and you have not even touched the engine. betting you can't get that engine overhauled with all the accessories for anything under 3k. I would bet doing some of the work yourself and farming some out, you are in that boat 23-25k before you are done. opening up things like that you always find more wrong.
from a trade perspective, it would be interesting to know what the dealer will do with it. assuming they are not a wakeboat dealer? that being said, it would be interesting to see if they auction it off knowing they are taking on the same issues or if they will put it on the lot for 12k "as-is"...
good luck either way but if it was my cash, I'd find a newer boat and install closed cooling. I'd not worry about the trailer for a few years. it won't rot immediately.2012 22ve.. RIP 4/17

No doubt, I would expect to come up with more things to replace. The trailer would probably just be fixed for now until I saved up for a new one. It's not in horrible condition yet. A good sand blast and some paint would make it look brand new. The major thing is the brake lines and calipers that are rotted out. The boat is at that point where It can be saved if you really want to but I'm just a consumer, buying parts at full retail.
Im not sure if the SAN 210 is still for sale. I looked at it personally a year ago and they had it up for $33k. They took it off craigslist, but its on onlyinboards now for $26k. It's a 03' with 580 hours in immaculate condition. Upholstery is perfect and the gelcoat looks better than new. I've seen the guy out at the stadium just cruising the harbor, so its been in salt before. Boat was mostly ran in lakes. No rust on the boat at all. The trailer on the other hand, is less desirable. Its about the same condition as our TIGE. Im going to email him and see if it is available.
The only complaints I have about the 210 is the size. It's a shallow boat compared to tige. on Havasu trips, I have had 7-8 people aboard, but we usually only board with 3-4 of us.

What do you all think of this boat??? Maybe try and get it for a couple grand less. It's been in salt but not much. It would be a great boat to eventually add on closed cooling and a trailer.

If you can track down a boat with the 6L motor (PCM ZR6 or Marine Power 6L) it will already have closed cooling for the motor and will save you there.
When Boatwakes (killer marine mechanic and tigeowner in your neck of the woods) was working on my boat, I think we thought that you could add Crusader (same parent company as PCM) closed cooling to the exhaust and have a full closed loop instead of partial closed loop (block only). I have never run in salt before and likely too afraid to do it.
I have been tempted to want to check out Marine Stadium and Mission Bay before but the salt has always scared me away on all my boats. Teamallen I haven't heard of any of other places wakeboats could run other than your list. I think Newport Back Bay has a speed restriction or some rules I don't remember ever seeing anyone out there. I don't know if Dana Point has anything.
Sandman, that $530 was me bringing my cushions to the shop and they installed everything and gave me them back. Foam and base were in perfect shape so they were re-used. I thought it was an awesome price. Whitlock on here provided the reference to me and I liked how his turned out. Seat backs would be more expensive due to greater surface areas he estimated. I am very happy with how my vinyl came out. Shop is in La Puente (forgot name but I can look it up if anyone is interested), so not to far from OP (less than 1 hour). I would be the seat bottoms in his boat should be less than mine (less surface area).Mods: MLA BIG Ballast System (1800+ Custom sacs, 2 500 W705 sacs under bow), Duffy Surf Flap Mod, Trimmed Swim Deck, Top-Mount Starter

I would definitely check out the stadium at least once. Go on a week day, mon-thurs, and you'll have smooth water all day long. South East wind is what you want to watch out for since it blows right down the channel, any other wind does't effect the water. The tide does fluctuate during the day but on low tide, just drive down the center of the stadium. just call this number to make sure they are open the morning of. 1(562)570-3203. Its a voice recording. Weekends are also empty at the stadium during the winter, but stay away during the summer. I guarantee it will make you think about salt proofing your boat.
One time won't hurt anything. Just buy a small bottle of salt away with their hose attachment and wash down the trailer and boat when you get home. Also, coat the engine with WD and wipe it down.

Well bummer, the 210 sold last week. That was a smokin' deal. If your guys come up on boats in the social, Havasu, vegas area, let me know. Im looking for a Vdrive, 21ft+, preferably black or white, and non-universal towers. Ill be posting the tige up on Onlyinboards pretty soon, so don't flame me too bad haha.
