How does it work with the VX? The VX would be in the way. Do you have to cut a hole in the VX or have the exhaust stick 3' out?

Il post pics some point I'm 1200 miles away from my boat but anyway the fae goes on the same with the vx and the support rods that are vertical go through the vx and I was worried but the guys at fae said that's the way they go and shouldn't have any issues also you hardly can even see it under the boat with the vx on it

Z3James - You might check their website, they have pictures of installs and written instructions. You might also call Christina at 512-647-7321. She was very knowledgeable and helpful when I called. There are several threads about them helping guys with questions and such.

FYI: There are no photos or reference to an installation with a VX installed under the TIGE photos or installation instructions (at least that I could find). It will be interesting to see how this is done. I know there had been talk about CO testing being done with a VX installed as there is thought that the VX will help to dissapate the CO down into the water, it would then surface in less concentration. Either way, it will be cool to see a VX equiped boat with a FAE installed.

For you guys that have this already, what options should a guy order with it? Are the quick release and side mount options worth it?

Only if you plan on removing it regularly. You should never have to remove it unless you have to take it off to fit in a short garage.

I am interested to see the VX installation, but since I don't have one, I am not going to start searching the internet...it seems like you couldn't do it is my first thought.
                    Be excellent to one another.

I thought the side mount options was a nice addition. 2 fairly small holes in the swim platform supports and that's it. I was able to do everything while I was on a camping trip.
I would also recommend the quick release option as well. We had one incident when I first installed the unit that it popped off while surfing. My guess is that it probably got bumped when we were hanging out on the sand bar. Anyway we stopped and attempted to re-attach in the middle of the river. It was nearly impossible to do so, we just disconnected the FAE and threw it in the boat. Never had a problem since. I also have to remove the swim platform when storing in garage so it comes in pretty handy when completing that task.

The benefit is it's qui wand no fumes. I will never own a boat without one on it totolly worth every cent
