I have a 2014 z3 and the engine will **** off all the sudden when up to speed, runs fine at idle. When you try to get on plane it will **** off, help please!!!

There is no warning or spitting/sputtering. It's almost like pulling the engine kill switch. Just shuts down. I took the dead man switch off to make sure there were no loose wires. Everything is good, I did notice that the cranking voltage would jump around a lot. From 13 volts down to 10 or so. I put it on the charger for 12+hrs, and took it out the next day, same issue. I think it my be a voltage regulator or the ecu. Anyway it's back at the dealer, just sucks to have issues like that on the maiden voyage. Thanks for all the advice.

My first guess for an abrupt stop like that is an intermittent wiring problem. Most detectable problems will cause the ECU to go into "limp mode" so you can at least get home. This sounds more like the ECU is losing a ground reference, or the wiring to your kill or ignition switch is bad, etc. (I know you said you checked the switch, but wires have two ends!)
One interesting test would have been to try it on the trailer. The hull physically moves and changes orientation when under acceleration in the water, but doesn't move at all when on the trailer. Knowing if the problem is caused by movement, or just literally a throttle/RPM change, would be useful.
Hopefully the dealer will figure it out ASAP and you'll be back on the water. Please report back!

Got the boat back last Thursday and had a chance to run it for an hour or so... The problem seems to be fixed. The dealer replaced the dual battery isolator. My cranking volts and house volts are running at 14-15. Before the cranking would jump around from 13-10. So hopefully that solves issue.
